  1. Makes it all the more imperative we sign Rob Holding to keep a pace in the CB league
  2. Bit of a downward step from being in talks with Hendrick. And how we all laughed back then
  3. Tonali to AC Milan seems a really good move - they are slowly rebuilding with some decent players for a change Maldini making a decent fist of things currently
  4. I like their strategy - sign as many Rodrigo’s as possible

Could have spent that money on a decent c/fwd - it’s ridiculous
  6. It’s not as if we have taken a hiuge commercial hit either - ridiculous
  7. Yedlin and Ritchie? Take your pick
  8. In that case I give up - delete the club
  9. Batshuayi and Loftis-Cheek on loan would very good
  10. Huge indictment on the current state of La Masia Doesn’t help when they lost quite a few of their Spain U17s and 19s - because they don’t loan or have a pathway for these kids, the best ones just get poached
  11. Meh - he’s no Jeff Hendrick
  12. They have run the club poorly for the last 3/4 years - tough luck imo
  13. Koeman told him his influence and privileges with the team have stopped. So if Messi wins this battle, does that pretty much mean Koeman has lost both the Barcelona and Netherlands job? Did he sign the official contract with Barcelona? I don’t see how the president leaves? Him and his team have to pay off the clubs debt out of their own pocket should he resign now - can he effectively go on gardening leave and pave the way for a temporary government so to speak? I didn't know that the president and his team have to pay off the clubs debt if he resigns. But if he steps down next year, does that mean he is still accountable for the debts or he is excused as it is the end of the term? You basically have to leave the club in profit or at break even - if you have made a loss, then you have to pay that off out of your own pocket - these are the rules - which is the reason why Barca are in disarray - the President has nowhere to go

  15. Surely after all he’s done for the club if he’s asked to leave they should just let him walk away. They would be saving about 25m a year on his salary I would imagine About £35m a year (maybe slightly more)
  16. How you can spend 85m on this donkey in beyond me
  17. Looks like contract ripped up - good start

Great move that tbh - takes out one of Brighton’s CBs - which means we top the accumulation of CBs league

    Jeff Hendrick

Can play in 234 positions according to Bruce
  20. Just think of how many CBs they can buy with that 25m
  21. Agree totally - a fresh start for everyone A saving grace for Barca may be that they may actually have a few gems in midfield to come through - most notably Oriel Busquets (no relation but plays the same role and has the same style), Pedri (play maker) and a couple of midfielders in Alex Callardo and Monchu - so if they can’t spend they can certainly look within They need a couple of CFs though
  22. They can’t get a manager on a long term deal with the elections in 2021 - Koeman will get a 1 year deal with an option for the new board to extend it by 1 further year - if not he’ll get a bit of compo - most likely Xavi will be coach in 2021 There is that. But I also think that Barca is always desperate for a coach with Barca or Catalan connection. Their sense of identity is so strong that it dominates every other quality required out of a manager. When it works it is magical and romantic. They are far more likely to be patient with Esteban Bruceiro - a random youth coach at Real Valladolid who previously worked at La Masia (making it up) than a legend like Sir Bobby Robson. Can’t grt more romantic than Koeman - member of the dream team - he’s a Barca icon - gave them their first European Cup
