  1. It’s still a league that produces good players - yes the level may not be the highest but you can still get some good players from

the likes of the big 3 - Alkmaar, Utrecht etc

Seen enough of MGW to know that he would be a perfect fit for us. I know he plays as 10 for Forest but his skill set means he could play as an 8 or wide.

Would be a brilliant signing imo - right side of mid or RWF - such a versatile player - bring back Minteh and that right side is looking a lot better

  3. With him on the right we finally have someone to link up with Isak - Barnes is developing a nice little link to

    The 3 combine very nicely

Thought he did well in a difficult work environment. This is the experience he needs that he won't be getting by not playing.

This is why the last 9 games which he will most likely get now will be invaluable for him - learn, assess your game, work hard in pre season and he’ll be a different player next season

FWIW I reckon we will sign 2 hybrid LCB/LB players in the summer - one of them most likely be a starter at LB the other at CB

Would be interested in Branthwaite from Everton. Caught my eye playing for England last summer and looked good apart from the Isak goal when we played them. Wonder if he has a relegation release clause. Could be a future England CB.

He’s a great talent but if we iare FFP hamstrung are better shopping abroad

Kelly would be a good signing on a free.

We really need to get some outgoings sorted this summer for some of our fringe players like Targett.

It’s really imperative we do this - none of the like of Dummett hanging about

Added to this, be ruthless with the likes of Longstaff, Miggy and Wilson

Yoro I’d love but not happening. 70m and RM is my guess. He’s perfect though.

At the season end he will have 1 yer left - no way he costs 70m

As much as it makes sense for a complete rebuild.....that looks absolutely mint.

Another thing explored in a rebuild is the possibility of shifting the pitch into the milburn and raising it so pitch level is above where the press boxes are, then construct the new east stand further away from leazes terrace with the extra space, that would also enable more scope to fill out the east stand corners that hold barely 2000 each.

The new east stand could contain new changing rooms, tunnel and media/TV

How much distance/could that potentially buy us do you think (away from Leazes Terrace)?

This . Somehow people have come to accept that 4 3 3 and high intensity ( sings " High Anxiety " in a Mel Brooks stylee ) is the Holy Grail of football - its not its just one way of playing . Systems become fashionable then overtime get discarded . Its not sustainable in the long term as was said above

I actually think we are better suited to 4231 - gives us better protection at the back and provides additional support to the 9

Not sure I’d care that much. It’ll always be St. James’ Park. Football’s a carcass anyway in terms of the off-pitch stuff

Yeah it’s an avenue we would have to explore I’d guess - I suppose for many the stadium being as (location) probably means more

One of the things we have to improve is the concourses in the ground - they are awful - I suppose lack of size doesn’t help but the in ground experience is so bad
