Martins has an unusual and slightly ineffective playing style.. still a world class player though if there's one thing, that Roeder has ever done right since arriving, it's buying Martins.. and Pattison is not Patterson.. chances are Patterson's better, although he can't really get a game for the academy :

shut it, Glenn, you fucking retard.. we know he's nothing special.. can't fool anybody
-
i love it how you all jump on players' backs from time to time.. you don't have to be a certified coach to see that Ramage, Carr, Pattison are not good players, but you know what.. it's not their fault they're being played.. show some fucking support, cause slaggin players off isn't doing us the world of good.. yawn
-
come on.. it's crystal clear Roeder doesn't have a clue.. we don't need a CB, not now atleast.. we have 6 players in that position already a couple of good wing backs would be a huge improvement to the defence thats all i'm asking for - 2 full backs who are better than Carr and Baba we keep getting linked with overrated english players.. and you know there's football elsewhere in the world, where players prices aren't hyper inflated.. of course buying players from abroad is risky, but imo, what's more risky is splashing millions for fucking nobodies (Rio's brother, Upson or Davies).. and somebody mentined Montella.. what makes you think Roeder has ever heard of him? or that he can appreciate a player of that type.. Luque is very similar from Montella, but noo.. he isn't showing enough effort.. fuck all, if Roeder plays fucking Pattison infront of him every time what kind of effort do you expect? sack this poor bastard..

man.. these things happen naturaly.. how can you force yourself to like a club? fuckin 21 cent geeks.. can't even support properly

Srnicek a coach? no chance

oba is the best in the universe tbh

selling Emre would be stupid, imo.. he's been a victim of Roeder's tactical genius, but is a world class player and always willing to give his all.. Barton is also very capable and would be more suited to our style of play at the moment, but i still would prefer Emre in the long run.

I wouldn't agree about sitting... or even singing, depending on what you mean. The British display an extraordinary reticence to start following the orders of blokes holding loud-hailers and release streamers in unison. Now that's not to say we can't or haven't made a hell of a racket, we just don't do it in the foreign way. no, i'm not saying english fans can't support their teams properly.. i think it's more a case of restrictions to the grounds that's murdering the atmosphere in the PL.. you know, season ticket allocations and the non-standing policy.. imo, the bit i quoted refers to the reluctance of UK fans in general to change anything.. cause if such restrictions are applied in Italy for example, there would be riots. In my country we light flares and torches, jump on seats, wave flags and scarfs (not free ones ) and basically sing the whole 90 mins and for me that's what it's all about, cause if i want to see the game properly i'd rather watch it on TV..

a bit overreacting I think. Altough I do recognize some points. The atmosphere in England is still great. If you compare it with other countrys. Altough I think the atmosphere in Germany is great too(sorry for that) well, it's slightly off context.. it's more about the english style of supporting compared to the south european for example.. and why people prefer to sit and not sing during games.

this is from another user on another forum and it concerns more the bad atmosphere at PL games. just to throw it in

that's a good thread and i agree with Shaman, 80 and bobbyule for the most part.. i'd like to think Parker is a good player and a good pro though.. he surely realises when he slows down attacks and maybe coaching staff (Pearson) do too.. so i'm confident he'll raise his game in that aspect what bothers me more is that Roeder seems to regard him more as 'box to box' player and i don't really think he has the required vision, technique and composure to ever become a good one.. and there is also the captain issue.. i would rather not blame Roeder for this though, as Parker has always shown effort, work ethic and maybe he's a popular figure in the dressing room..

never ever doubt Shay Given, you should be grateful he's still in the club. and i don't think his kicking is that bad. defenders rely on him to clear the ball quite a lot when under pressure and that goes back since sir Bobby days.. and if you've played football you'll know that hitting a 60m pass under pressure isn't the easiest thing to do..
