  1. What is this masterpiece
  2. No, most of her transfer videos follow the same positive fabula.. Usually she's in absolute awe of what *insert team* are cooking.. or *insert team*'s attack is a joke or the equally bold no joke. I appreciate there's not much space for emotional variety in a thumbnail but when you post so much content, even positivity can get tiresome.. in fact, if I had to make a video on the state of transfer gurus, journalists and football "creators", I'd use tiresome for the thumbnail. Her football analysis is good and thoughtful though.. at least about us.. she's more informed than 95% of the pundits/youtubers. edit: here's JLA attempt
  3. aye, sorry about that Elanga can be effective in our style of course but Eddie drives me mad with his total disregard for the genius of the left foot.
  4. Yeah, I take your point. Relationships can always soar. But most of these are not a good comparison. The scousers selling to another league is not the same as giving a top3 striker in the world with 3 year contract to a direct rival below market value.
  5. If it's for Elanga and my hysterical post - I wrote him off even before we signed him. He's simply terrible on the ball, the thought of having to watch him the next 2-3 season makes me shudder. Of course, that doesn't mean I won't support and cheer him on like a madman when I'm at SJP.. I simply wanted somebody more Ben Arfish and there were so many options on the market. Similarly for the CB and CM positions - we could've done so much better. Nevermind, I've vented off. Feel better now.
  6. I admit I'm VENTING majorly but I need to. Sorry like. But would Man City let Haaland with 3 years on his contract go for 120m to Liverpool? Isak is broadly on this level. Would they allow a player to disappear on his own accord like that? I realise that we're not Man City but that's kinda my point.. I was (still) kinda expecting the Saudis to be more Man City and less taking one year to appoint a CEO. Would Chelsea sell Cole Palmer for 120m to Liverpool? Or Arsenal let Saka go to their rivals in the same way? What if next summer Tonali says he only dreamt of Liverpool as a baby and they offer us 65m.. Surely all he needs to do is not turn up to training! We're majorly overachieving because of one man - Eddie Howe, of course. But even he needs help, the Keegan-like God that he is for me, and also needs to be challenged.. for example on this absurd PL-only transfer policy that we've seemingly adopted.
  7. Imo, Woltemade and maaaaybe Ramsey apart, our summer recruits are very underwhelming and overpriced. And of course, the Isak saga was destructive, amateurish and we surrendered laughably at the end. Can't believe people are rating this shit above 3.. nevermind 8 or something Unlimited cash, CL, months to prepare... and of all the right wingers in the world, all the young left-footed wizards - we sign a pure athlete who can't control the ball and can't cross for shit.. Honestly, can somebody point out a PL starting winger with worse technique than Elanga? Like paying 50 million for fucking Dan James.. even he has a better cross on him.. and that thing Elanga does when 1v1 with a defender - suddenly seemingly switching to a left footed only mode? wtf? who even does this? I trust the very huge majority in the Milan forum - Thiaw is very likely pure shite and that's exactly how he looked coming on the other day. Ramsdale on 130k a week after the Trafford fiasco - I won't even comment on. The strikers we missed on.. shit, no point commenting here either.. Of course, the Isak surrender takes the biscuit.. 125 mil.. that's even less than what they paid for Wirtz isn't it? So we rate a top 3 striker in the world with 3 years remaining on his contract the same as some Owen-lookalike twat from the Bundesliga that plays like Leon Osman... And people convinced it's a "great fee".. We're selling our best player to a direct rival that treated us like some relegation no-hopers to sign him. Terrible management, laughable scouting. 3/10.

    Harvey Barnes

We're allowed more than one player for a position like Not that any of the three is a world beater, if Andy Howe wasn't in charge of transfer negotiations, I'd sell them ALL.

    Joe Willock

I rarely criticise our players since Eddie, almost never advocate selling them at a loss. But ffs there's simply no hope for Willock, I'd honestly just pay off his contract.. He seems so out of it mentally ever since that first bad injury. Hopefully, he's not hurt seriously of course but he tends to overreact every time he's kicked now. Pointless even getting into his glaring technical limitations.. Joe White seems like he lacks the required dynamism even for the Championship but it's gotten to the point that I think even he would contribute more, if he trains with the first team and features as regularly as Willock. At least he counts as homegrown at the club
  10. FOOKIN RAMSDALE?? Oh god, this transfer window's going to be the death of me
  11. All set up for a Romano "BOMBA, here we go, he wanted only Man U" the fucking agent mouthpiece twat
  12. Yeah refuse to believe we can attract Sesko all of a sudden

Kept an eye on their game today.. they were DIABOLICAL and most of the available 'first team' played. They've spent 100m and it will make no difference whatsoever unless they spend another 100m on a new defense and a goalscoring machine and everybody hits the ground running. Ain't happening.
  14. Has Paqueta been cleared of the charges? for 20mil I'd take him even if he isn't like..
  15. yeah, think he's been at the club for a while.. even played last season's U18 didn't he?
  16. Mathematics, Algorithms, Microsoft, Benfica, Atalanta.. Exactly the sort of geek we need!
  17. Usually online sales are limited, different hospitality options and quantities constantly appearing and disappearing the day they put them on sale, so you spend hours refreshing.. this time, nothing seems to work online, no Barracks for any games - which makes a mockery of the sale announcements and ads on the site.. Sales are probably phone only for now but of course the lines are unreachable.. Once you finally connect after 5-6 hours of trying, the people are usually very helpful but you have to dictate your card details on the phone like it's '82.. So amateurish, year after year.. Eddie should sort the ticket office out!
  18. I'd hate to criticise Eddie for anything but I think he puts too much importance on the player's character and mentality. He can easily get extensive info on that through his links in English football. But as far as random young European talent.. I think we simply lack the business connections and scouting forensics to get credible information that a player is motivated to run, learn and improve for Newcastle United. So we have to rely more on agents, dodgy third-parties etc.. Due to PSR, any 60m mistake we make (and subsequently can't shift) can burden us for years and years.. unlike Man Utd, Chelsea etc we can't absorb even one or two without having to sell players that perform for us. Thankfully Eddie's meticulousness has avoided that. But I understand why he's extremely careful with the budget.
  19. 5 of those are very unlikely to be registered, so there is plenty of space. And seemingly enough money.
  20. I hope that's one thing that Eddie might have been granted for this summer when he spoke to Rumayan at the end of the season. The "we have to be fast" comments were from that meeting.
  21. Yeah, that's too much money Hopefully he'll find leading the line too hard like Darwin and end up developing like another Gakpo - not develop at all. fuck off liverpool
  22. Nobody has shown anything remotely resembling PL quality.. and I think anybody who participated in the Australian demolition is dead for Eddie, so apart from Leo Shahar and Sean Nieve probably, don't think we'll have anybody around the first team, unless Murphy and Joe White impress a lot in the friendlies
  23. Slightly hungover, so might be wrong but you're not including the value of his existing and hypothetical new contract and amortise only the transfer fee we paid? That's like 100m off
  24. We were dangerously close to the wage limit in UEFA's financial regulations, weren't we? Not that a meagre financial penalty should deter us.. but apparently it does.
  25. Yeah.. reading the calculation above, I might be wrong with how contract amortisation works but 280-300k on a week for five years is ~70m
