Taking Isak off was a huge gamble but you have to say it worked out. We gained a little more control and were able to go on the attack a few times with Willock and Barnes providing some energy and ways out. One of those decisions he'd get absolutely slated for if we conceded there, so should get credit that it made a positive change to the game.

For all we can say that 2nd half was poor from us, the reality is there's another team on the pitch trying to win as well. Spurs did very well getting control of the game but we were resolute at the back and did well to keep their chances to a minimum. It was a very uncomfortable watch but give our players and manager a lot of credit for seeing that out

Disagreed with it but those subs have done great tbh. Looked a lot more solid seeing this out and Willock & Barnes have done great at giving us an out

We'll see I guess. If we hold on and limit their chances it could be a good move. Fingers crossed

Sven Botman: Out for up to 8 weeks after minor Knee operation (Howe)

Properly grew into that and will only get better -
Shaky start, both as a team and from Botman. Both have grown into it and we look in control now. Get a third early in the 2nd and I've no doubts we'll see it out. They get the next goal and all bets are off

Ahaha fucking take that

Burn got pushed there, not sure what he did wrong

Has to stand

Feels weird going into an away team against a European rival as the clear favourites. Things have changed so quickly Going for a nervy 2-1 win for us. Won't be easy, we'll have a few last minute blocks and defensive heroics keeping us in it. Ultimately our midfield and attack will be too much for them and we'll come out on top

And look how it's turned out. He knows what he's doing. Easing Tonali into a role which requires huge tactical discipline is not the same as dropping one of our best performing players to accommodate a player that has done great at CB but has clear weaknesses at LB. Hall isn't getting dropped for Burn outside of the occasional resting. I think it's possible, even likely that Botman will have to fight for a starting spot with Burn given how well he's done at CB. Before long it'll be Sven's again but I wouldn't be at all shocked if even when fit he's not an immediate starter every game. -

"Howe loves Longstaff, he'll never, ever drop him. You know how he loves his favourites". Oh... oh wait. -
Definitely. He's proven a very capable deputy under Howe and can cover 2 positions we always seem to pick up injuries in
