I mean that's a question for the guy who claimed it to make a point

Whether we've been shit all calendar year.
-
I mean, no, I don't think anyone is saying that unless I've missed something
-
It doesn't show that at all, it's right down the middle. Complete 50/50, with just 1 more goal scored than conceded. Did you even look at the numbers you posted?

I don't agree that "top clubs" make decisions that short-termist. It's not resting on sentiment, it's having an understanding that it can take time to find solutions. It's not giving Howe time because he deserves it, it's reflecting on his achievements and abilities and giving him a fair chance to right what's going wrong. I know certain people can only get hard when they think about how ruthless Daddy Saudi is, but they've thankfully been much more level-headed when taking decisions so far, such as not panicking during our last dodgy patch (remind me again how the following season then went?)

I've already posted my view in this thread like. Performances have been shit all season, but it's not yet translated into damage in terms of league position or cup progression. We're still in touching distance of the European spaces, we're on course for a CL playoff and come tomorrow night could be in another semi final. You don't shit your kegs and sack the man who won a trophy (this year mind you, the way you go on like it was 3 seasons ago) without giving him time to right the ship. tl;dr: you're a reactionary with the emotional resilience of a paper towel. Hold your fucking nerve you absolute penis.

Yesterday was abysmal, easily the worst performance under Howe, incredibly disappointing and in keeping with a fairly miserable season so far. But anyone seriously suggesting sacking him at this stage is way off the mark imo. We're midtable and not adrift yet from the european spots, we're in one quarter final with a home tie and looking good for at least a CL play-off spot. In terms of the competitions we're in, it's all going... fine? Not good, but not terrible. You don't sack a manager who won a trophy 8 months ago for that. There's a lot wrong, and a lot to sort out, but he's more than earned the grace to try to sort it. The performances haven't been nearly good enough and to an extent we're quite lucky that they haven't been as damaging as they could've been. By all means look again at the end of the season and if it's all completely fallen apart with no sign of improvement then consider whether it's time to look at a next step. But in December? Where we currently are? Crazy stuff.

Agreed, Gordon's penalties have papered over how poor he's been this season. Barnes all day for me.
-
I get that, but it's lazy homophobia. Don't think you'd say it from a place of hate but there are a million better ways to say that Gordon gets too much grace from the manager.
-
Agree with the rest of your post, but no need for this.
-
It was an abysmal performance from the players and the coaching staff. Sacking him half-way through a transitional season where we're going well in all the cups and midtable in the league is a genuinely mental suggestion. Judge him on the full season and even then I'd be giving him a lot of grace.

Also got the trophy I deserved in March you complete wetwipe

Snakes everywhere hun 🐍 keep ur head up high babe 😘 DM me if u need xxxx

I didn't hate the tactics first half. Could see what we were doing. But once Nick scores that OG I have no clue what the plan was
-
We'll still finish above then this season. They're nothing special. Neither are we on that showing mind
-
He's still the man. But that was the worst performance I've seen under him. Grim as fuck. They weren't even good, we just did fuck all. Fucking terrible from the 11 on the pitch to the staff on the bench.

If you'd offered me a 1-0 with a Woltemade bullet header I'd have snapped your hand off tbf

Ah man

Fair play to Burn for giving it all there

No idea how that cunt thought that wasn't at least a yellow

Sandro back to his best for this one, calling it

Impressed at how he changed the game at half time, we were comfortably the better team that half and should've been 4-1 up were it not for the post. Good performance and a good point all things considered, frustrating as it is to concede late again
-
Don't want to be too much of a miserable cunt as we got the 3 points, but a little disappointed in that. No goals from open play against this lot at home against 10 men. Managed the game well barring the stupidity at the end with the penalty, but feel like the team could've really benefited from absolutely dismantling someone. Missed opportunity in that regard. Still, bigger picture is 3 points off 4th and going well in all the cups, plus our new no. 9 is back giving us a new option up top when Woltemade isn't getting much joy or has been run into the ground. Things are looking up overall.
