What a couple of weeks we've got. A league game to put us miles ahead of Chelsea & Liverpool, and good distance from 5th, and then 2 legs of a cup semi-final. There's so much more jeopardy in having a club that actually competes, it's scary

Can’t speak to at games, but on twitter and to a lesser extent on here - yes, he got a lot of abuse and I’m convinced it’s played it’s part in him seemingly being bereft of confidence even after scoring the game before.

Hope he gets some confidence and form back for them, big guy deserves it. Abuse he got from some sections of the fanbase was grim, a level of entitlement you usually see in Chelsea/Man Utd fans - genuinely concerning that we seem to be getting to that level of cuntery already and we haven’t even won anything

At a club with less expectation I'd back him to get some form back, so a good deal for all concerned really. Good luck to him, hope he gets a decent reception if/when he lines up against us in future.

Hopefully we bring in someone young and raw who won't expect to play every week, but can grow into the team over the next few seasons, eventually taking Wilson's place as he ages out and challenging Isak for the starting spot.

Amount of shit he gets from some sections of our fanbase is disgusting tbh. Helped keep us up, worked his arse off in every game. Hope he's a success there and recovers a bit of form without so much pressure on him. Part of our history now as a fairly important part of the team that kept us up and set the stage for the season we're having today.

Honestly. Until a year ago it’s been a pretty consistently miserable experience with a few highlights in between (HBA, Rafa etc.), but I feel I’ve done my time and deserve to enjoy our success as a result

From Devon Shearer was my favourite England player at France 98 when I was 6. Asked my dad who he played for and considered myself a Newcastle fan from then on, though I didn’t take a real interest in football until the 03/04 season under Bobby.

Agreed, Maxi looked sharp. Hopefully Bruno isn't out for long and we can have, as an option at least, a front 6 of Bruno, Big Joe, Maxi, Miggy, Isak & Wilson.

I love this handsome bastard. I know he's 31 and we need to look for a young replacement at some point, but I hope it's someone really young and raw who won't take over for the next 2-3 seasons. This guy is effortlessly cool and the perfect partner for Sven.

We have to get another CM in this window, absolutely the top priority, but it is so class that we can potentially go 4-4-2 as well. Just another option for when we're struggling - well done Howe for making the switch there.
