Hes defiantely at his best when he opts to knock it past the fullback, either side, run onto it and cross it. His crossing is generally very good and 9/10 hell beat the fullback for strength and pace. The problems arise in Obertans game, when he dwells on the ball and cuts inside. He doesnt have the silky dribbling skills of HBA to get away with it and is too indecsive to make an effective pass. Best just to keep beating his man and getting the ball in the box/ having a shot.

Think it takes Fergie 20 minutes to get himself into the game. Which isnt good enough for premier league level yet. Needs to be ready from the get go.

Krul Simpson Taylor Coloccini Santon Perch Jonas Cabaye HBA Ba Ferguson Subs: Ameobi, Anita, Obertan, Harper, Williamson, Cisse, Sameobi -
Would be good to see a midfield 3 of Anita, Perch and Cabaye against West Brom, with Cisse out wide with Ben Arfa.
-
Crazy that Crystal Palace would let him leave after such a great start to the season for them,
-
Hes basically the centre back version of Simpson. Adequate at his job and thats it. Wins headers and wins most tackles. Both should be squad players, thats the difference between us and the top 5.
-
Sometimes you are just far too patriotic. Troisi has started 2 games this season and been subbed off on the hour both times. Inman deserves a chance, hope to see him play some senior footy this season Is there such a thing as being too patriotic Honestly though if we are after a left winger .. Tommy Oar is the man ... 20 years old .. really hitting his straps at Utrecht this year .. hes made Eredivise team of the week 2 games running, has a heap of assists and just set up the winning goal for Australia v Iraq.
-
Troisi is starting regularly in Serie A at Atalanta, pretty decent for him. Can see Inmans career panning out exactly the same way.

Good shout.

Atletico Madrid star Radamel Falcao admits he grew up idolising Newcastle United legend Tino Asprilla. Falcao is a top January target for Manchester City and Chelsea. "My favourite was of course Faustino. I always support other Colombian players - and he showed that South Americans can handle the English game," said Falcao Blatant Toon fan is the top striker in world football.
-
How would he rank in the world as far as centre-halves are concerned? Cant think of too many outstanding apart from Kompany, Hummels and Subotic. Terry/Ferdinand/Vidic are on the decline or injury prone.
-
Would be immense. FM is so accurate , both were absolute class in 2005 version. Now they are the two best defenders in the EPL.
-
Incredible defender. Honestly think teams like City, United and Chelsea are crazy for not trying to sign him (They can fuck off if they want to). The guy is the classiest defender in the premiership by a country mile. Hes that good, if he played for any of those teams, it would go a long way to helping them win the title. So glad hes our captain. Our spine is mint. Krul, Coloccini, Cabaye, Ba/Cisse
-
That side of his game will develop alot this season. In one year he has improved defensively 100%, now he has that down, he can work on his attacking play. Hes got 3 options, whip in a cross, cut inside and shoot, or cut inside and pass to the striker (Cisses first against Chelsea). At the moment he cits inside and get tackled majority of the time, just needs to be a little more decisive, But boy do we have a quality player on our hands here,
-
I think our best side on paper would be: Krul Simpson Saylor Coloccini Santon Tiote Anita HBA Cabaye Ba Cisse Anita playing more as a tucked in left midfielder, with Santon attacking the wide areas and Ba dropping in to help defensively. We just need to play with more fluidity, when attacking, let Ben Arfa roam inside, Cabaye push forward, Ba go central, Cisse pull out wide etc.
-
Simpson, he continued to show McClean onto his left foot and backed off to let him get a cross in. Back pocket my arse.
-
Had a decent game but boy has he been unlucky in the derby. Missed a penalty earlier in the year and then scored an own goal in this one. Hes like the anti-Shola
-
Krul Simpson Williamson Perch Ferguson Bigirimana Tiote Marveaux Amalfitano Obertan Cisse
-
That and Cisse has the ability to score a wondergoal out of nothing. Taking Ba off for Cisse was a no brainer.
-
hes definately our most purple player. Id probably say "imperial purple" if i was to put a shade on it.
-
Positives: Ba, Santon, Coloccini, Krul and HBA all performed admirably. Tiote needs to get his act together. He's getting paid a truck load of money, be professional. Negatives: Referee, Jonas, Simpson backing off macshit all the time
-
Obertan on for Jonas?
-
Mignolet; Rose, O'Shea, Cuellar, Colback; Larsson, Johnson, McClean, Gardner; Sessegnon, Fletcher Mignolet Colback Oshit Cuntlar Rose Larrson Gardener Johnson Sessengon McPimpleHead Fletcher
-
Think of the oppo, they play a rigid 4-4-2, Pardew is backing our central two to beat theirs. And so they should. Not happy using but i can see why. As long as either Ba and Shola drop in to help defend against either Colback or Meyer/Gardener its not an issue. Assuming Sessengon plays in the hole.

Bench is good to change things:any of Anita, Ferguson, Cisse and Obertan can all come on and really influence the game.
