  1. Id be happier if you didnt feel the need to make snide remarks on any post i ever make. How was that snide? To be fair Stu. Im new to this board and have been observing threads for a couple of weeks. You do appear to be snide, when put into the context of your past posts. Ive noticed you have been discriminatory toward some of the Australians on the forum. This is not on. Grow up and grow some balls. quite right and all i read Stu's post backwards, i.e. the "you happy" bit first and initially thought it was snide but when you look at what he's responding to it's not snide at all man, he's just being his usual troll self as surely this suggests the lad is happy enough: "Each striker has sufficient pace, Ba has the finishing, Best has the hold up play, Ameobi has the unpredictability, HBA has the silky skills. It seems we have all attributes covered." touchy touchy Stu is a massive troll gets me every time. I love it when he gets me.

  4. Maiga, Ba, Best, HBA, Ameobi .... Are people happy with this striker force to progress as a team?. We will obviously have to wait and see how Maiga adapts to the English Premier League, but he appears to be of the strong and pacy type favouring wider positions. Each striker has sufficient pace, Ba has the finishing, Best has the hold up play, Ameobi has the unpredictability, HBA has the silky skills. It seems we have all attributes covered.

  6. Sat on the bench for France last night but didnt come on. Perhaps not as injured as we think?

FAN IN 'DOESN'T KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL' SHOCKER!
  9. Australian players = Craig Moore replicas Precisely. Wasn't it Harry Kewell who proved "you can take the boy out of Australia, but you can't take the Australian out of the man"? Harry Kewell is the Australian version of Michael Owen. Both starred at a young age, both became injury prone both are twats.
  10. Australian players have fantastic physical and mental attributes but do lack alot techincally, which we are trying to rectify.

  12. I think we are perhaps one play short in the midfield as well, one classy right winger. Like Adam Johnson, we can dream.
  13. Don't think his physically strong enough for the EPL to be honest but could end up having a solid career like Emmo but I think EPL might be too much of a stretch for him at this stage of his career. Think Terry Antonis would be a good shout already tracked by plenty of clubs and would be cheap with a heap of technical ability. Holmans physically fine for the premier league. He was Australias best performer at World Cup 2010 and as a free transfer. I can see an EPL club or Bundesliga club snapping him up at seasons end. Antonis is a fine prospect but is nowhere near the finished article for a premier league side. He would be far better suited to the German league as his game is focused more on technique than physical attributes. However 2 more seasons in the Australian League for Antonis, he needs matches.
  14. If Tiote is fit and firing he has the capability of nullifying City's midfield, whilst Cabaye and Guthrie have the qualities to keep the ball while we are in posession. We are also going to need pace out wide to stretch them defensively and to limit the likes of Kolarov/Clichy and Richards ability to go forward. We will also require a presence upfront like Best, to batter and pressurise Lescott and Kompany and give them something to think about. I would go for something like this. With HBA replacing best after an hour, and Ba pushing up forward. Krul Simpson Saylor Coloccini Raylor Tiote Guthrie Cabaye Ba Jonas Best
  15. If we are looking for players that are out of contract from relegation threatened teams that would improve us it would be Diame and Hoilett.
  16. Brett Holman is out of contract at AZ Alkmaar at seasons end, is a versatile attacking player with unbelievable workrate. A key player for both Australia and AZ Alkmaar and available on a free transfer.
  17. Thats one part of his game that Cabaye needs to improve. This is evident of the fact he played in a 3-man central midfield at Lille, where it was perhaps not his responsibility. It may call to experiment with a 3 man midfield of Cabaye, Tiote and Guthrie if we were to hit a slump in form.
  18. Did I not say similar attributes, meaning a ball playing centre half. Rather than signing another foreign centre half, that will take a season and a half to become accustomed with the pace and strength of the league. Sign a younger player and let him develop into the position, learning his trade from Coloccini.
  19. Happy to see Stoke shit themselves all the way to the Championship.
  20. Need to sign him up before the big clubs start to take more notice. He is on current form the best centre-half in the league along with Kompany. Sign him up for the 5 years and sign an 18 year old centre half with similar attributes that will ultimately replace Colo in 4 years time.
  21. rodallega must be kicking himself.. now 1-0 down

    Dan Gosling

Give the lad a chance, is lacking sharpness and match fitness in a big way. Hes still young and will come good.
