  4. Good wakeup call for the team to be honest, apart from the win we looked complacent agianst wigan. Kick up the arse imo.
  5. Helluva change in a few hours. yeh stew people never change their mind about things.. managers certianly dont. What do you have against me mate, any chance you get you have a go at me. stop being such a cyber bully.. you dont realise the effect that bullying can have on peoples lives. Fairly sure Stu is on commission for spotting inconsistencies in people's posts. "You called him a wonderful player three weeks and two days ago, now he's only great, eh? Fickle b******". In fairness, only three hours passed from those two different teams being posted. A small part of a much wider and varied tapestry of digging up inconsistencies. Aye, I know, just pointing out on this occasion I don't think Stu's done a lot wrong. Fair enough, we are all entitled to our opinions, otherwise it wouldnt be a discussion board. Hit out more at frustration as Stu is constantly on my case for one reason or another. Wasn't having a dig at you either, it's just I also found it funny how much you'd changed your side within three hours. yeh.. think its a dream of all of ours to manage Newcastle and be able to select the team you want to see out there and to see if that selection would work. I guess thats what FM 2012 is for.

  10. Im a big Vuckic fan and think this is the perfect game to bring him back in to first team reckoning. Elliot Santon Coloccini Perch Raylor Abeid Gosling Marveaux HBA Vuckic Best
  11. Stu. why are you posting self portraits of yourself in a thread. Its supposed to be for football discussion.
  12. Krul Simpson Coloccini Kadar Santon Gosling Guthrie Marveaux HBA Vuckic Best
  13. Very much so .. hes the perfect midfielder for a side that dont have good ball playing centre halves. Id say hes less box to box than Cabaye, you dont see him closing down as much higher up the pitch + he carries alot less of a threat on the opposition goal.
  14. Aly Cissokho, Junior Hoilett, Mohamed Diame, Modibo Maiga, Sebastien Neumann,
  15. Harper Santon Coloccini Kadar Ferguson Obertan Gosling Guthrie Marvaeux Ben Arfa Ameobi Subs: Jonas, Abeid, Tiote, Ba, Best, Vuckic, Elliot
  16. to think they could have coloccini instead
  17. If we were to sell Tiote for 20 mill + : Replace him with Diame for free
  18. I think in a year or so people will have changed their opinions on Obertan dramatically. Football fans are fickle, as seen by the treatment of Best, Raylor, Saylor, Jonas, Nolan ( in the past). We are 9 games into a season, hes not going to transform into a world beater in 9 games, give the guy a chance.

    Alan Pardew

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11678_7259578,00.html Alan Pardew heaped praise on Yohan Cabaye after the Frenchman grabbed a late winner to hand Newcastle a 1-0 triumph over Wigan on Saturday afternoon. The midfielder, a summer signing from Lille, broke the deadlock in the 81st minute, pouncing on a pass from substitute Sylvain Marveaux to fire home. The strike marked Cabaye's first goal for the Magpies and manager Pardew was delighted with his contribution after admitting the France international almost did not feature due to a minor fitness problem. Close call "He nearly didn't play. He had a knock yesterday and a fitness test at the training ground today. So thank goodness he played," said the Toon boss. "He's a class player. He's a class person, actually. He brings an elegance to the side. "He's just a level-headed, good footballer. He's in an area where we've got competition. His quality shows every week." He added: "I'm pleased he's hit a real cracker to get him off and running. "The goal was special. Even if our fans were a little bit disappointed by our performance, it was worth the admission fee just for the goal." Pardew admits his side were dominated by the visitors in the opening half but was impressed by their comeback in the second after his half-time pep talk. "Great credit to Wigan in terms of their approach to the game," he added. "They played good football. They were faster and crisper than us. "It was just resilience, a fantastic save from the goalie and some desperate defending that kept us in the game (in the first half). "In the second half I thought we were better, after a little chat." An unbeaten start to the season has left Newcastle sitting fourth in the Premier League, and Pardew insists it is more than good fortune keeping his side flying high. Surprise "We appreciate that in the first nine games we've surprised even ourselves," he said. "But there are times when you've got to look at a side and say it's got some quality in it. It must have to get 19 points. That doesn't just appear. "We've had three or four games where perhaps people have said we were fortunate to win and we've had our share of luck. But there's also something else that suggests there is something in the team and we could have a big season. "How big it is depends on results, of course, and how we perform when adversity comes. We haven't really had that yet. The side has really settled, the injuries have been good. So that helps."
  20. On a free this summer Had a top, top game for them. Rodallega and Diame on a free in the summer. yes please. Would give us some quality depth.
  21. How would people feel about us signing Diame as Tiotes understudy. Was easily equal to our midfield destroyer today and provides more of a goal threat.
