  1. Fucks sake I can't believe that. Are you a schitzo?
  2. We've hardly been paying over the odds for anyone over the last 2 years have we?
  3. You mean their smaller stadium, smaller catchment area, overall smaller commercial viability and resulting smaller turnover? That's part of it, but I also mean their debt. The majority of our debt was a mortgage secured against ticket sales with small structured payments over decades, and its now an interest free loan from the owner. The majority of Portsmouths debt, if not all, is short term (can be called in at any time) and accruing interest all the time. Its far more volitile then our debt ever was and is increasing at an incredible rate. £19m in the last month alone (£119m to £138m) and god knows what it will be by the start of next season or after that when their turnover goes down from £60m to under £20m due to relegation. There's definitely nothing strange about celebrating the fact that we aren't Portsmouth. I tried to acknowledge that in my post... I take your point though. At the moment, we should be happy we aren't Portsmouth so it was daft of me to say we shouldn't. If the economic situation turns into a double dip recession though, Mike might not feel inclined to keep paying for his repeated mistakes, then we could be in the shit.
  4. Huzzah. Falling back on spelling is like bringing up Hitler in terms of internet arguments. I win. Oh, and by the way, just looking at a couple of posts.... OMG
  5. I notice you don't quote the actual post. Is that because the question followed your idiotic complaint that "Since 1997 our average tally is 50.9 points a season." As if that was why we should now celebrate 48 points. Congratulations on dropping that line and concentrating solely on the last 2 years. But seriously, overjoyed with 48 points! Is this what it's come to?
  6. I'm beginning to doubt you even know what "this is what it's come to" means. Do you open your mouth to breath? In terms of the last 12 years 48 points is a let down isn't it? It's below average on the figures you supplied. Of course it isn't a let down based on the past 2 seasons.....but then "this is what it's come to" refers to the longer term. Only an idiot of your propotrtion could think anyone would suggest 48 points would be more disappointing than the 34 points of 2 seasons ago. We clearly weren't debating such short term timescales. You yourself brought up the 12 year trend in your initial response. Stop replying and concentrate on doing the Sun Su doku. You'll finish it one day.
  7. Except 48 points would still be less than where we averaging over the last 12 years. Which is disappointing. I find it incredible you keep finding ways to disagree with that...while agreeing. Entertaining nevertheless.
  8. So you are unhappy that it's come to this too? That settles it then. We're agreed. Dunno how I came to the conclusion you were happy...except when you had a go at me for complaining about the situation.
  9. Blatantly after my cock you dirty rotter. I never said it was a blip. I said you are going on like it was. I have no lofty feelings of self importance. I'm just saying it's a sad thing that it would be amazing if we could manage 48 points (which would below average for the last 12 years). Heck, it would still be below our average for the last 7 years. If our fall to this position has pleased you immensley I'm happy to disagree.
  10. So why would it be amazing and thrilling to get 48 points You aren't making sense. I am sorry to have to inform you that we were relegated last year, we will return to the premier league next season therefore any sane person would fully understand the viewpoint even if its sailing over your head. Amazed because the state of our squad and thrilled because its put us back where we were. Incidentally they werent my words but happy to enlighten you. And how does that make it less sad that this is what it's all come to? You're going on like averaging 50.9 points for over a decade was a blip but it's good to be where we belong where that kind of total is cloud cuckoo land. You just like to contradict me don't you? Blatant stalker.

  13. Plus another £25.5m he's put in this season.
  14. This is what it's all come to.
  15. The better England do the Better Ashley does....and potentially the better Newcastle do. I'm all for England winning it.....wouldn't go so far as waving a St George like.
  16. I also find it strange to celebrate not being Portsmouth. They've been relegated with a fraction of the debt we had when we went down (and still have). I acknoweldge that Ashley's covering the losses....but he's not run the club ANY better. He can just personally afford to fuck it up more than they could. Is that to be congratulated? You should really stop talking about financial matters, seriously please stop Great post.
  17. Closing the stable door before the horse bolts I think. Unsurprisingly poor attempt again there. They've been relegated with a fraction of the debt we had when we went down (and still have). You made out like their debt was nothing compaed to ours, i merely joked at the daft way you said it, hardly the same ffs Reminded me of when he was going on about our "regular qualification" for the Champions League. By 'he' I assume you mean NE5? No, by "he" I meant you. I've seached on my user name for "champions league" but I can't find where I said it. link? Now who's being Polly Pedant? LLLO?

  20. Agreed I think a large proportion (or a major fraction or a good percentage, more than 50% but less than 100%, the biggest bit, the lions share) of the statement will be back slapping bollocks.
