  1. Nufc.com on the atmosphere in their full report what miseries. I thought the atmosphere was pretty decent, fair amount of singing, and I was in that upper tier.
  2. Having experienced this in other countries, please god no. I'd sooner let those dickheads miss the goal than have them getting chips passed over me and chatting to sellers in the middle of a match.
  3. The lights and pyro at Chelsea last night were fucking shit and did nothing for the atmosphere. Maybe looked good on telly. Another thing I learned at Chelsea - don't put tunes on that are *too* good. They played London Calling just before kick off and felt like we all just wanted to listen to that and mouth along. At least I did.
  4. Wtf are SSN playing at continuing with their looped news coverage rather than following the shoutout?!!
  5. Missed he went to Derby in February. Scored his third in three games tonight (also won their pen)
  6. Agree it's really annoying/sometimes worrying when a manager says a performance was good when it was clearly shite - but I think have to think that's because he doesn't reckon slagging the team off when it's low on confidence is a good thing, rather than him really thinking it.
  7. That fucking 'blue is the colour' song blasting at half time haunts me from the FAC semi
  8. I still reckon he gets the start of next season regardless, and goes then if thing don't start well. I back him but can't help the doubts creeping in given the scale of our defensive collapse and that being part of his history before coming here. It's astounding how it can collapse so badly - almost 50% more goals with ten games still left to play. It's just nothing like watching last season intense solid team.
  9. Well at least 25 years and 4 trips after my first one I saw a goal... Pretty good atmosphere in our end. I was here the season before last and it's a shame thinking about how we gave a much better account of ourselves that day (recently out of the relegation zone), against a better Chelsea side. It's shit having that familliar feeling back of just not having any faith in us being solid.
  10. That was the 5-0 and 4-0. The 1-0s were 1999/00 (Bobby’s very first game) and two seasons ago (late Havertz)
  11. Im there tonight and I’ve been four times before : 0-5, 0-4, 0-1, 0-1. So I cannot be optimistic …
  12. The day after his birthday, he's no longer 19.
  13. Reading is fucking grim, the archetypal rubbish out of town stadium and away day. One of the times I went there and they'd banned us from having alcohol as punishment for persistent standing. People raging
  14. Keep seeing arena site mentioned but wasn't it mentioned a while ago that that's a no-goer? Been sold off or something?
  15. That was one of my first away games (my third I think). 6 years old in the away end, blissfuly unaware of us blowing the title and just enjoying the ride. There was a real magpie on the pitch at half time.
  16. Is that necessary for an expansion? Wasn't when they did Milburn/Leazes
  17. Expanding the Gallowgate wouldn't solve that, but it should alleviate it a bit, the upper tier would feel more enclosed than it currently does
  18. Different manager at each stadium - Howe at one, Emery at the other.
  19. Build the new stand on top of the Gallowgate, as in leave the Gallowgate roof there. Then it shouldn't affect the atmosphere, the Gallowgate noise is still trapped.
  20. Was just thinking how it was Eddie Howe beating us that got McLaren sacked and Rafa in. (that ultimately started the takeover and got Eddie in…)
  21. ? (but aye, agree Helder, Acuña, and Gallacher were all at least decent signings) Would like to have seen Kluivert under Bobby
  22. Pissed off at the leavers as always, love it when we score late in a half so they miss it.
  23. I was in the upper Gallowgate today, west side. I'd say the atmosphere surpassed my low expectations. Not great by any means, and was rubbish for a long while in the second half, but a few chants going and better than my experience of Palace home (Milburn)
  24. I’ve been one of the more sympathetic people I think but that’s Fuckn shit. Massive game, strong team, shit opposition, what’s going on
  25. Pretty sure the night he scored two there in the cup was the night he retired from England? Memories of hearing it announced on the radio on the way home
