  1. To the tune of "Noel, noel, born is the king of Israel", I forlornly attempted to get the hordes to sing, "Ruel, Ruel, Ruel, Ruel. Keegan's the King of Newcastle!" at Ruel's debut at Selhurst Park circa '94. I wasn't 12 though, I was nigh on 26. I was there that day. Was only 7, so only remember the result (4-2) and the fact I was introduced to a laundry list of new profanity, most of which was directed at Mike Hooper. He was s**** that day mind. I remember Warren Barton playing well for them. And Peter f***ing Fear. I too were there. didn't gary blissett bully us to bits ? Fuck me that's a name I haven't heard for many a year. I think you're right.

Do you reckon Pardew's stock in the football world is higher or lower than when he got the job with us? Genuine question. Far higher, when he leaves us, he'll be amongst the high order betting candidates for when a low prem team job becomes available or a Championship job, weather he gets the job or not is another matter, but he's certainly put his name out there with us and done himself no harm for a future job at a decent enough club. He won't be going back down to League 1 anytime soon that's for sure. Depends if Ashley lets him see his contract out.
  3. And the bullets would've gone straight through him too.

Is there a back four among the leagues best 7 clubs you would not swap with? I'd prefer to have the ones we've got being coached correctly before I'd go rushing out to swap anyone. What's the next painfully depressing and wildly incorrect prediction Wullie? Took us 2 games to rise above the 16th position we supposedly wouldn't move from all season. I leave the painfully depressing stuff to the "8th is fantastic" brigade. Brett? He's quoted it like i've said that. Wullie thinks we should be pushing into top 6 but thinks we are in a relegation battle, ambitious pessimistic clown What on Earth are you talking about man? My position has always been that the players are comfortably good enough to compete for European qualification whilst the manager is not close to being Premier League quality and drags them down, fails to get the best out of them and leaves us constantly less than the sum of our parts. How does any of that contradict what I've said? I think you're sitting on the fence a bit, if we finish top 8, you'll say well so he should with that group of players, if we finish in another relegation battle, you'll be blaming the manager and not the players. Fwiw i don't think even a good manager would get us into top 6 this season, i think Everton have themselves a good manager and a similar standard of squad to ours but don't think he'll manage it, they will be similar to us where we will try and fight for it but will come up short in the end. Sitting on the fence on what sense? I think the manager is obscenely s*** at his job. What part of that sentence constitutes sitting on the fence? I agree that he's a shit manager but i think with this group of players he can still have a good season. What does Pardew have to do this season for you to look back on and say 'he's done well there'. Win a cup? Finish top 6? Top 8?...Avoid another relegation battle? Surely you can’t be of the opinion that he’s done shit regardless of what he achieves from now on? Fuck me you don't half run with the foxes and chase with the hounds.

I said passion for Pardew to fail, not Newcastle. He's failed for the vast majority of his career...there isn't any need for anybody to want him to fail. As sure as eggs are eggs after a year or so of sailing through calm waters, his team will go to shit. We're the only mugs to let him go past a second full season so I guess we're in unchartered territory but I'd wager we won't finish top 8...top half if we're lucky.

What a load of shit, man. Knew people were going to be saying this. We started the second half as we ended the first, closing down high up the pitch and creating chances. After the goal, the manager, players, and fans shit themselves, no doubt on the back of our shaky as fuck form. I thought we carried on closing down but not as a unit like the first half. The defence dropped ten yards deeper but the midfield and forwards carried on closing down higher up. Leaving a space between the defence and midfield which Tiote had trouble dealing with. Left us a bit messy and out of shape from then on. We still had 4 or 5 good chances to finish the game, which we dont normally do when we get sit/get pushed back. Excellent tactical insight, that. None of it actually happened, like. That's your opinion. I'd say we sat deeper 2nd half and our midfield was non-existent for the last 25 minutes. After the goal we did. For the first fifteen minutes, our shape and intent looked no different from the first half. Bimpy, no need to get silly. You did sound dead clever. But, I'd expect anyone watching to notice a sudden extra ten yard gap between midfield and defence, compared to the 45 mins before it. It just didn't happen. Are you blind ? Mutch came on at half time and we immediately dropped off 10-15 yards thus giving him the space to operate in and hurt us which he did. It's no wonder you enjoy the fayre Pardew has given you at SJP, you know absolutely fuck all about football.
  12. It was on Sky. Surprised you didn't see it. Think he got a 3/10 in the chronicle the next day and that was generous. Mapou is far more equipped to deal with the Liverpool forward line than Williamson mate.
  13. He likes to be in the right position unless there's a physical type striker in said position.
  14. If we're leading at half time this us generally the norm though. Tardew has no stones whatsoever.

    But just not this one.
  16. Looks like the manager is burying his head in the sand and ignoring what is happening just for a change.
