I'm not particularly on either 'side' here because I'm perfectly prepared to see what happens next season and think some go too far, but it's not hard to see why people are continually cynical about Pardew's management ability. If things had turned around without an influx of new players, there wouldn't be half as much cynicism. That is absolutely 100% spot on.

The time we went out against Bayern Munich was also due to a red card, but it was deserved. Rafael picked up two needless bookings, however if he was on the pitch he'd have been standing on the post for the winning goal. Also disagree about Rooney. Every team in the World would want him in my opinion. And yet Ferguson didn't want him in his team in their most crucial game of the season. He wouldn't get a look-in at Barca or even Real.
