Agree with this basically, the pace of change in the squad is quicker than I would ideally like, but if it ends up with the players we can afford and good ones at that then I think it will end up OK. Overall we're not in bad shape, and the teams around us haven't strengthened that much at all. Just need to bring in the LB and CF to make me feel completely positive about the season.

Really, really can't see it. Left back probably, forward possibly, anything else I just can't see. Except development players. Can't see it either. If at this point we get a LB I'll be pleased, and if we get a CF as well I'll be blown away.

This does seem to be overlooked by most like. Yeah, but TBF it's usually overlooked when people leave us for bigger money or more opportunity as well. Then we prefer to say it's because of lack of ambition and all that bollocks.

Aye, if they'd signed him for say £4m and you take that off what their supposed wage package is you get to around £55k... as he was on here. He's benefitted massively from us giving him away, and so has his agent. There's little difference to QPR. Wonder whether QPR would still be interested in signing him if he cost £4m? As you say the money overall is about the same, but it seems like a much bigger gamble when you're paying a fee.

I think the press already has enough material on Joey Barton like.

He's conducted himself terribly for almost his whole career, no doubt about it.
