Never understood how experience is valued so much more than youth in the professional game. The advantages of experience are important, but so are the advantages of being young, enthusiastic and fearless. Every team should do much better to get the mix right IMO.

To be honest, not sure if I want him back now. As a player we need him, but it might become very difficult to manage him if he's desperate to get away but just can't find a decent club to go to. Don't really want him sulking for the rest of the season. It's a tough one.

Pardew is starting to show the colours of the manager at West Ham who didn't know how to incorporate Tevez and Mascherano. The new French additions seem to have him non-plussed so sticking with the tried and tested in Joey will be right up his alley. Wow, that's a bit of crazy logic. He's just saying that he wants an important player to stay, no idea how you drew that conclusion .

Hopefully Pardew will make the defenders realise that Tiote and Cabaye are available for short passes, and it can build from there. The urge to hump it long is strong in most defenders really, it's a hard one to change. They were even launching long balls to Sammy tonight.
