  1. Watch this space, he went off early but hopefully it was just to avoid the wrath of Hughton.
  2. Correct except he actually looked quite good.
  3. We would have beaten England tonight. Only if it was at Wembley. True.
  4. What is he going on about, tbf I think he's one of the better expert/ex-players out there. Just talking about youth development and how shit the FA are etc... he's right about how we bring up players. At the same time though, we still have the players to do much better than we are IMO, Capello is just putting the wrong ones out with the wrong attitude. So we have short-term and long-term issues, Collymore is mainly focused on the long-term ones.
  5. Collymore is going mental on TalkSport... but he's actually right on almost every point.
  6. Still think it's a bit premature to write Rooney off, he could be a world-class player again.
  7. Didn't think Henderson was any worse than anyone else, if anything he tried to keep calm and keep it simple. Didn't have a good game, but certainly no worse then Barry and Milner.
  8. Aye, he's a total mong. I thought Boro should never have sacked him, until I heard him say some of the stuff he believes about football.
  9. Well, Capello has learned something about his players tonight... the ones he likes are shite.
  10. Carroll must be gutted about the amount of balls into the box since he went off.
  11. Agreed. He's a disgusting diver though.
  12. Don't understand why Davies didn't get picked this time, he more than deserves it.
  13. I actually don't mind watching England, when they win I celebrate a bit but when they play like this I don't really feel bad about it.
  14. I was just thinking that, he's a weird shaped man if he isn't fat.
  15. He's off! Southgate is concerned that he's gone off.
  16. At least he is looking to be patient and play it short in the rare instances he has been involved. However he is getting no help whatsoever from the two supposedly senior players alongside him. Actually feel bad for him in a way. Does look slightly out of his depth but I do empathise. I think he can develop into a very good player but he needs to first and foremost find his actual role. CM, DM, RM? He could do with leaving Sunderland if he is to develop, though. Aye, he should sign for Chelsea or Man City where he can rot in the reserves and ruin his career. Because that's just what I said. I'd have him at Everton, for example. Sorry about that, I simplified your position, it's what you do on forums. But to me a team like Sunderland seems alright for him at this point in time. Not too much press attention, competitive in most games, regular football. Not many teams he could move up to outside of the top 4 or 5 really.
  17. There was a period when it looked like he was going to solve the Gerrard/Lampard conundrum by becoming the sitting player, wasn't there? Been living off that since.
  18. And the away win at Everton, and Arsenal, and hammering Villa, beating Chelsea in the cup, outplaying Man City... quite a lot of paper we've got over those cracks. My apologies, when I say cracks I don't mean that we are set to fall apart but, up until that point we were very wishy washy. For a week people forgot that Carroll is our only real striker, that we are painfully weak in terms of depth and that we struggle to break down defensive sides. Aye, I agree with all those points actually, but we've also proved that we're more than capable of getting results when we're on our game.

  20. Maybe not 3-1, but we'd give a much more respectable account of ourselves second half. True, just thought I'd give a random prediction. In all seriousness though, Capello's team selections are more confusing than his interviews at times.
  21. Put Walcott up top with Carroll, put Milner inside, bring on Downing and Johnson wide. Kapow, 3-1 to England.
