  1. Neves is a completely different kind of player to Rice though, not really comparable. Chelsea have just paid £108m for someone who might eventually be as good as him... he's immense. Would turn Liverpool back into title contenders you'd think, and vastly improve almost any other team in the league. I like Neves but I haven't watched him closely enough to say if he could press and run about like we need. Also would probably wind up our fans with his constant long shots.
  2. Had considered that too, we really need more than 60k so might have to find extra seats beyond the gallowgate expansion. Having that dead section in the middle of the main stand is a reet pain.
  3. You can let those braincells die off now.
  4. The Alex Hurst @ True Faith International Stadium.
  5. Not that I’ve seen. £1k for Man Utd and closer to £2k+ for us. Slight chance of more if people are buying them this week to sell.
  6. Rename it Mike Ashley is a Cunt Place?
  7. I was near the pitch for the Gateshead playoff final and it was pretty hard to see the far goal. Probably being a bit higher up is better for that.
  8. On normal days, it shuffles the queue at 10 so it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been logged on. Just make sure you don’t miss 10. For the ballot stages I guess the queue doesn’t matter. One entry per person no matter when you log on.
  9. Yeah, I tried to avoid the Ashley loyalty argument, will only wind people up and everyone has their own reasons and beliefs about it.
  10. I’m not really suggesting anything practical, just an interesting idea. In future, maybe a season ticket could guarantee every home game, and we could look into other ways to distribute the other tickets. If we wanted to be fairer and allow more fans to follow their team.
  11. No of course, if everyone had the same opportunity and all things were equal. Then having a ST would be a much better measure.
  12. Well that depends on their situation. Also that’s without debating whether it’s more loyal to stay or go under Ashley. All we’re proving here is that it isn’t a reliable way to say who ‘deserves’ future benefits. That’s all I’m saying.
  13. Yeah, like I said, it’s a philosophical argument. i don’t expect the club to implement it, although I do think there’s an argument for rewarding people a bit more evenly in future.
  14. But you accept that loads of other people would plough that money in it if they had the opportunity? I accept arguments like ‘it’s conventional that ST holders get priority’ or ‘it was the deal when we paid for it’. I don’t accept that it means they deserve it or they are more loyal fans. It’s a philosophical point I know. I realise people probably won’t agree.
  15. I just mean, you could be an incredibly loyal lifelong fan and there could be hundreds of reasons why you don’t have a season ticket. I wouldn’t say you ‘deserve’ a final ticket any less than people who do.
  16. There’s no fair way except a totally random ballot really. Even the idea that ST holders are more loyal is a bit silly, especially given the Ashley era. Just wish Wembley held 200k.
  17. You’d hope that no human is involved in the ballot… but who knows I suppose.
  18. I assumed the P6 wouldn’t really happen, it would be sold out by then. But maybe there’ll be a few left?
  19. Luckily they’ve got absolutely loads of money.
  20. 'Funded via' on an email doesn't really mean that much, unless the mechanism for that 'via' is illegal. I guess the PL think it is though, so it doesn't exactly help.
