There’s no point changing the badge if it’s going to have the existing badge inside. The only reason to do it would be to make something new that would work better as a branding device. It would need to be really simple compared to the existing one, more like the 80s NUFC circle.

True, but at NUFC it’s likely to be something like Bruce, Curbishly and Warnock while batting relegation every season. It would still pay to have some sort of eye on the kind of club you’re joining.

Everything they do just seems to make teams more cautious, whether it's extra time, two legs, golden goal or whatever. Both teams play once home and once away, I'm not sure away goals is better than just extra time and pens.
