I don’t think Rice and Philips was that bad a selection, they just played bad. They didn’t carry the ball or move it like they’re capable of. That said, I would’ve changed them second half. Think Rice made his first tackle in the 92nd minute.

I don’t understand the use of VAR in this tournament. Don’t get why they just don’t check penalties. It’s like they know VAR is bad so they’ve decided not to use it.

I think Italy were decent, not great. They struggled to penetrate until they got an own goal and a pass from the Turkey keeper. Think the raving is a bit over the top. Weirdly I thought Turkey had a chance at 0-0 and just after half time, just couldn’t sustain anything and were horrible in possession. Italy the better team but I don’t think this performance will scare anyone good.
