This is newcastle we buy the best to spoil their talents. We make players injury prone. We stuff players in goal fish bowls. We give players 20 seconds on the ball if bad then hated by least 30% of fans forever. I could go on... The media just loves a dig at us as its easy as Dave said must be a very slow news day.....

you dont become a mega rich person unless you know how to play dirty even the elements of our board have seemed dodgy just you get more fucus when your one person to target. I personally have a bad feeling in my water about man city's take over just cause of what I've heard and worrying how a prime minister became so mega rich, and whats with the whole with holding his money etc. I do however hope it all goes well, when it comes to Owen why move to somewhere at potentially at level footing with ourselves (please dont shoot me for that) we on paper have the better players I believe but both have stars in the team and both seem to be close to mega rich owners. So there is no real reason to leave they arent a top four team and are as miles off as we are (if not further)

how about "hey I didnt know people could sit in a scale model for a 50,000 seater stadium wow shrinking technology must be advancing quicker than i thought"
-
I'd rather call it the "Hell, I didn't get the ball, what am I supposed to do now" routine... The best you might get out of it is a free kick. sorry Isegrim didnt quite get you until i saw your reply to nut, thought you never seen the lad put a tackle in, like ive just said the trouble with taylor is two fold shit manager to guide shit defence partner to learn off (who else used to stand off and jump up and down or flay their arms around hoping for offside *coughs* bramble) I think we should expect alot more from taylor as long as SA keeps the faith and keeps playing him he can also stay injury free and SA follows up with some older heads for him to learn and develop with then I see him comming on leaps and bounds.
-
Taylor is 21, terry, woodgate, carragher are late 20's realistically there shelf life when it comes to an england carear is one more world cup after that then I fully expect the new crop of cb's to have started to make their mark and if taylor continues to improve (remember he now has a decent manager to nuture him) then dont see why he cant get a place in the side.
-
I thought that was called "putting a player under pressure" or is that me not understanding Isegrim???
-
difference being taylor has age on his side and while i dont think he has the composure right now to break into the pack the likes of terry, carragher and ferdinand arent getting any younger. King potentially may always have injury problems same with woodgate. Feel it is one of these situations that if he is given his chance he may suprise a few people
-
owen, martins, shay. He is no longer the big fish in the pond and I'm sure any fat he does have SA will run out of him.
-
I only have one smoggie mate luckily and he said the same thing, doesnt see how they are going to compete well in the prem with the squad they have and the big fear is fewer season ticket renewels and even lower attendances. Great they kept woodgate and they have one of two very good players but I see them needing big improvement and Aliadiere does not seem to answer much . In regards to Gibson, some are wondering if his heart is as much in it now with his divorce looming.... gibson is a quieter version of FFS tbh he has already came out with the normal season ticket pulling phrases like "building for the future" "massive faith and support in southgate" "going to be really big signings that will shock and delight fans"
-
he will always have massive ties to the club no doubt he embassador role for the club will still continue under new rule. He played when bellers did so I really do think his opinion counts and first and foremost he is a fan of the club and obviously wants us to do well. Now we all know he cant stand the lil shit and if one of the press ask him about speculation to do with him returning what sort of reponse do you expect??

big ask for yakubu staying so much speculation obviously different sort of player of to viduka but there is still a void to fill and I question if this lad is good enough.
-
seems he would come out of retirement just to stop us signing bellers back, really think the money pool want for him he would not be in SA thinking but nice to hear from Shearer whatever it is.
-
so we may not give a shit but smoggies have signed Aliadiere for 1.5m do you recon he is a decent replacement for viduka? I for one think they are clutching at straws if they recon a fringe player is good enough to help them out of trouble but is that all part of the fun for us???
-
I was thinking of Heinze when people mentioned Rozenhal is a defender they had never head of. It seems like a no win situation for the club, we sign a big name player and people moan because we're signing trophy players, we buy a player nobody has seen play so that's wrong, next thing you know people are posting threads about the likes of Samba at Blackburn moaning that we don't spot players like that. Talk about fickle ffs. some see the take over as an excuse to aim big. some see the take over as something to be wary of and we need to plan the rebuild like we were going to before hand. we are always going to get this conflict a mega unknown only gets heavy praise from a fan when they actually make it and thats always the risk that they will bomb and waste your money, but as i have said before unless they are proven class in the prem then even the big signings are a gamble and we have proved that by throwing good money down the drain. I for one see it as a body at the very least we let defenders go and we need to build the defensive line back up again and for 3m its a small gamble.

I think I need my eyes tested I thought the bottom part was silver was thinking its way too many colours but yea agree with shak its a nice looking shirt.
-
tbh id buy it yorkie when can you start to manufacturer them???
-
potential and just sheer multiple options, so many variations and so many different ways of playing no more "bramble knocks it up the field to open space" or "cross comes into the box ooh and I guess they must think shearer is still playing for us as there is no one there"

...And because when you do make a post, you'll get some job knockey picking one line out of it and taking about three hours of your life because you simply cannot face being proven wrong after such effort in the first place Drives me mad that like. You write a great long post and one line gets picked out. Anyhow, top post that initial one, Rich. It's the best way to wind someone up, like On a different score, I've seen you mention the 4-3-3 formation and I've now seen Shak allude to it, while when I was away I read papers claiming we'd play 4-4-2, 3-5-2 (which really excited me and made Papa Lazaru turn in his grave, I'm sure), 4-5-1 as well. Then there was Allardyce saying he wants "two players for every position" in regards to the forwards, which made me think that we'd be playing two up top. Has this debate been done elsewhere while I've been away? Because if it has I'd happily take it to the appropriate thread as it's something I fancy discussing. It's undoutable to me that a midfield three of Butt, Emre and Barton would be exciting (whereas Diarra, Emre and Barton would be jizz-worthy), but where do Martins, Owen, Viduka and Milner fit in to that? Four players, who if they stay should by rights be starters. Then there's a massive earner like Dyer to take into account who will seemingly be out in the cold. It's interesting to note the proposed formation when we're talking defensive midfielders though, because there's a huge difference between playing the Makelele role and playing the Roy Keane role - although there are, of course, players capable of doing both. Is it all just speculation at the minute 4-3-3 wise? I just can't fathom how he'll work it with Owen and Martins here. all of which I have thought about too the one thing I have thought about is SA looking at converting to martins to more of a deeper roll out of one of the flanks in a 3 up front formation we know he can use both feet comfortably so possibly this is where he fits in and either owen or viduka playing well ahead as the box player. Obviously the key here the team already seems alot more adaptable than when roedant and souy were here.(i know we did try other stuff from 4-4-2) but always seemed to fall flat on its face.
-
I still keep going back to african players for some reason and the fact he likes to buy "unknowns" now if some 6'4 muscel bound hulk came in while we probably will all be worrying who the fuck he is and is he any good you can sort of see where he is going. Really think one of the big reasons Parker left was because he has a plan for midfield and we will see a player come in the middle or maybe Im clutching at straws
-
It is a little and large combination that I think we really need, totally agree that in the middle of the park we need a strong big guy look at arsenal a few seasons ago all, nimble quick very good at passing the ball and the drive the power and the support all fell to viera. Now with him gone they have obviously suffered hence the reason we managed to play so well against them last two seasons down to bullying the ball and taking the flowing passing game away from them. Where we are at now we have emre, who although strong doesnt seem to have any ability to hold up a ball or drive through the middle, butt again quite similar. I feel I could blow dyer over personally. Then obviously the height issue milner's crosses although have not been the best sometimes I wish we had a "big man" to aim for and while we hope viduka will give him a big enough target to aim for we cant always play him. difficulty obviously is while we are concentrating on defence I dont know if we are going to target people all over the park but I'm sure SA has already thought about this, I mean he has managed to out think us on numerous occasions so knows all about our weaknesses.

...And because when you do make a post, you'll get some job knockey picking one line out of it and taking about three hours of your life because you simply cannot face being proven wrong after such effort in the first place who been having a go at you Janitor and I'll send someone round to see them......
-
it seems far fetched and could be media speculation only thing i can think of personally is the fact they want to cash in on him and roberto carlos signed for fener didnt he. Maybe they trying to recreate an old version of real from a couple of season ago.
-
when it comes to the defence we are really short if this guy turns out to be average then it is still decent business, no one unless they have played week in week out in the prem will be a gamble you just have to keep the faith with the manager which finally i think we can start to, got to be better than the last two numpties.
-
when your playing a team of midgets with no direction running round like lemmings and you take the 50,000 home fans screaming you on I think going away must be like sending them off the cliff. totally agree having a dirty player with skill is not a bad thing as long as its not aragant bastards who recon they are bigger than the club ie bellamy
