means definitley looking into bringing in another striker in the summer.
-
what's worrying is that, unlike jonas, there is no mention of an injury to Loven is his post match comments. it makes it even more staggering that hughton didnt make the neccessary attacking changes at half time to go on and win the match. he did mention wanting to have a solid 5man midfied line though - which then goes against what he said about playing nolan just off carroll. i really can't work him out, and admit to having been impressed with him to an extent until this cock-up.
-
yeah see what u mean now, thought u meant from any four of our foirst choice midield
-
think jonas and routledge are safe - so any 1 from 2 - think smith is safe as hughton likes a defensive midfirlder, so looks like it will be barton vs nolan - who's better? only one way to find out.........
-
the next 3 games will decide whether barton comes back in. if nolan continues his current form and fails to score then hughton has no choice.
-
this LB kid's got balls.
-
good defending to be honest
-
butt still on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
-
routledge basically playing them on his own
-
harper - as well as he plays, he's the bramble of goalies.
-
amazing!!!!! smith not butt?
-
jonas and loven may or may not be injured but ranger certainly isnt. need a change
-
I'd like to hear from some of the Hughton apologists why they think he's made that decision. indefensible
-
that second yellow wasnt soft. routledge aws away and he nudged him in the back, could have been off for a red for the first challenge anyway
-
at least smiths had a decent effort on target

aye time to drop nolan - hughton should make up the excuse that he's trying to rest him -
hungry striker? dean windass?
-
offer him a decent wage - more if we get promoted. tell him he'll have the number 9 shirt and be plying in frony of a huge adoring crowd. if he says no - move on.
-
whats wrong with giving him another chance if he continues to make the right moves. it wont happen overnight, but if we keeping moving forwards and get some stability in the club then i know a lot of people willing to give him time. doesnt mean he's going to be adored. if we keep up with this absolute hatred of him, and unwillingness to right his wrongs, we're never gonna get anywhere. if he sells up, who's to say what kind of ideas the new buyer will have. grass isnt always greener. not saying ashley is anywhere near forgiveness yet but if he proves himself, whats wrong with giving him a bit of a break.
-
we would have still needed cover for LB though
-
is ashley continues to invest in young promising talent and adds to it with quality in the summer - even on a budget - then i and a lot of the fans that sit around me are willing to give another chance. we feel like a stable club at the moment and slowly inching forewards - i know he's taken us backwards a lot but sometimes just need to move on. still a long way to go yet but may be ashley is starting to actually see sense.
