Are you serious? You really think Saylor will run a whole season without any injuries? Or anyone else from our central spots?
-
We still need a full back in, Debuchy should be closer now than ever before with Chelski signing Azpi. Fatty still needs to give in to the demands tho, so I guess.... that's it
-
I'd do it right away since he's getting old, replace him with m'Biwa and Alderweireld.
-
A Dawson loanee wouldn't be the saddest choice we made, I'm pretty sure he'd come in handy throughout the season. Not saying he would have any starting place, but we need a decent CB cover since we ain't getting no m'Biwa or Alderweireld!
-
Here's one for you, exclusively. We're not getting any new signings. /eod
-
Because Anita is here to play in midfield? We shall see about this... I think he'll be covering back slots, if God forbid, we get an injury to either one.
-
Newcastle to win 3.05 odds, woooop
-
Why are we buying another fullback after getting Anita? This is getting dumber and dumber, especially if it's not our #1 target mr. Debuchy. Get in a friggin CB!
-
LOL, like NOW.... both are uncertain in front of Spurs game.... greatness! I say sign a decent MEDICAL TEAM!
-
Newcastle's Hatem Ben Harfa (knee) will not play, while Papiss Cisse, Demba Ba, Fabricio Coloccini, Cheik Tiote and Yohan Cabaye are either suffering from knocks or short of fitness. How real is his injury? I thought we'd somewhat start with our best eleven, I guess it's far from it.... god damnit, we need to buy a DECENT medical team instead of any player, just ridic.
-
Just get Mbiwa in already, we'd be semi-covered on the backline, just missing Belhanda and a striker like Guidetti! Obviously already lost out on Verthongen, time to get them knickers on FATTY!
-
Not coming as a surprise as he would be the PERFECT fit for this low-value train... any spot in the back 4.... goooo FATTY!
-
I'm gutted seeing Arsenal and the likes getting in recruits almost weekly, fml, where the F#"=%(=%=(#" is ours??? I want to see someone pwn Spurs @ opening!
-
It's coming... but we need a CB, I'm still frightened as to what happens if Saylor hops on a boat and sails away for 10 months again, this is so ridic. Even with our fullback play, nor Saylor or Colo really has the lightening speed to gap anything unless our back 4 is on the 5 yard box line. WHERE IS THE TRANSFERS
-
Same goes for the young lad, Konate, whom has netted 5 times during Olympics.... why do they all need to be Africans? Or maybe it's just the ACN that is ****** up.
-
What happened to our other CB targets? Ridic...
-
Not really since their values have decreased seeing as they've been benchwarmers. Less than £10 mill? Would be decent deal, but I don't really see Gameiro doing any job on the flanks, and he deffo wouldn't change clubs to sit on the bench again, which means that either Ba or Cisse needs to take a seat.
-
Too much Douglas talk, if Spurs is the only ones in for Verthongen we should and could be able to match the wages. Make it happen, plix, one time!
-
When did we extend and for how long? Goddamnit, we'll never see that EPIC Nike kit
-
Tata, Verthongen out! "Of course I want Ajax to become financially better, but the amount Tottenham are willing to pay, maybe with a little bit extra, is very reasonable. "In a year from now I could leave the club for free. I hope Ajax are aware of it as the situation of Maarten Stekelenburg's transfer was very harsh. He only arrived at the end of pre-season at AS Roma. I want to flow in fluently, directly with the other Spurs players. "Tottenham is a fantastic traditional club who play football in a way I like. "Ajax was the perfect club for me, but Spurs will be very close in nearing that already. They buy young, eager and offensive-minded players." http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/7739167/Vertonghen-reveals-Spurs-talks He was my only hope for a better Willy, poo
-
"In England, there is a growing realisation that you can go far with good football. Arsenal started it and now you also see clubs like Newcastle United, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur playing good football," he added. <- Verthongen Interesting, maybe we got a shot after all?

-
madras: I meant that more in the way of some of the people on here in who and what they wanna buy... not based on the pitch. Obviously, whomever that CB is, he'll be in front of Saylor. And my vouch still goes to Verthongen...
-
This is like Kevin Keegan era deja vu. All out attacking, no defense. When we don't score on our clear-cut chances, we lose in bad numbers like against Wigan. It's so obvious we need a stronger defensive back (either side works for me) and also an improvement on Willy in CB along with another CM, either a creative fucking artist or the typical leader which we're currently lacking unless Cabaye is gonna be that guy in midfield next season.

It's too easy to blame "one of those days" too, I think (because it is repetitive). Let's take United as an example, even though it's not exemplary for this specific season - let's look at the overall picture. Having won everything there is to win? as manager and players throughout the years, Ferguson has kept the team going. They've had hiccups, yeah, but not to the extent we have (imo). I mean, I'd take 2-0 loss, ok. But 4-0? When goal difference counts? It's just beyond me. I saw Pards making changes on the sideline, but I think what we do "miss" is a Barton (without hazardous tackles)/Nolan-type of player. A general that can lead the troops through the war, through the midfield. I just couldn't see it today. Without ball we were terrible, no pressure whatsoever. With ball, we couldn't seem to know where to pass it. And players always stated they weren't "complacent"?! I mean, losing for a better side is one thing, but losing because you couldn't/wouldn't/cared enough to make an impression is another thing. No passion whatsoever today. It was about 10-15 min in the second half there when we had those Cisse chances, but besides that everything was a joke really. Need 8 points of the 9 remaining, doubt it'll be done.
