First I thought they signed Gabri Veiga…

We should have just done an Ashworth-Mctominay swap… Anyway I doubt Manu want to negotiate in way with us after the saga so we can write Mctominay coming here off for sure.

Must be laughing his tits off at the “competition” he will have this season to be nr.1.
-
I hope him and Palmer start against Slovenia and they tear them a new one.
-
Wow I rate Lewis but let’s not get carried away. One had a few good run of games at the of the season, the other was a regular starter for a CL final side. Maatsen will be a very good signing for Villa and is really young so lots of room for improvement.

Linked with Tomori in the bbc gossip column. Would love him.

John Carver in a Euro 2024 team’s staff. What a time to be alive.

What's left now for De Zerbi? Sunderland?
-
Hope we start weakening them with pinching Freedman first.

Their record is incredbile since Glasner came in. Maybe this have opened their eyes a bit and they become hungry for a bit more success. If Mateta is fit for the most of their season and if they are as good in the transfer window as they were in the last 1/3 part of the season I can see them do really well. Hope their honeymoon period is ending soon tbh

Interesting season coming. I can see ManU, Chelsea and also a dark horse in Crystal Palace a strong contender as our rivals, can see Liverpool, Aston Villa and Spurs become weaker. We absolutely have to make the right signings and manage the schedule better than this season. Can't wait.

Rafa too: https://www.nufcblog.co.uk/2023/02/02/rafa-benitez-reveals-what-anthony-gordon-is-really-like-telling-quotes-after-40m-move-from-everton/

Rafael Benitez is set to take over as manager at Sao Paulo a month after being sacked by Celta Vigo. (Sun) https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/27399397/rafa-benitez-liverpool-sao-paulo-chelsea-everton-newcastle/?

Okay but we had a slow centre back pairing and they only had to score one more to murder us totally. Ings was on the bench. Instead he invited pressure and couldn’t bear with us. Thank you Moyes
-
I think the turning point and the thing I didn’t understand was Moyes subbing off his only dedicated striker and replacing him with a DM with more than 20 minutes to go and us looking shot to pieces. What was he thinking? Sit back in the penalty area for 20 mins? Thankfully we got the revenge and were really good with possession! Fantasic entertainment.

If i remember correctly he played striker for Rodgers last year next to Vardy/Iheanacho so maybe not a too unrealistic idea.

Btw Fabianski is my favourite keeper. Just love conceding worldies against us.

A very good and detailed read about Mitchell’s time at Monaco. Sounds promising: https://totalfootballanalysis.com/data-analysis/paul-mitchell-monumental-impact-at-monaco-data-analysis-statistics

Recalling Minteh would make sense in this case (if we can recall him of course).
-
He is there between Karius and Gordon imo.

I don't know how and where but I would love this guy week in week out in the team.
