  1. I don't know, I remeber alot of peoples saying that at the start of the season, we had some mental odds, was something like 3-1 to go up and 5-1 to go down. Crazy fools couldnt make up their minds.
  2. Ebondo isn't anything but decent. We actually could probaly still acquire him if we put out the cash. I watch M'bia pretty much every week now, and I'm yet to really be impressed. How much do you think the likes of Peter Whittingham or Nicky Maynard would cost us. Maybe we could try and revive the career of David Odonkor? We could probaly get for less than free at this point. He pays us? Ashley will go in for that kind of action.
  3. I could see it happening tbh, some of best advertising around if we get back into the prem.
  4. I would think it's what Wise is entitled to under his contract. Probably 12 months pay. Probably yeah. Great idea that turned out to be. My point still stands though - he admitted he didn't have a clue, why not hire someone who does? Quite. Mind getting shot of Llambias would probably cost more than binning Wise has. Nah I doubt Llambias is on 1m a year. Shepherds basic wage wasnt even a million. His take home pay was about 40M though.
  5. Care to explain why not? He probably think it may pressure ashley into allowing a loan signing or something, or maybe even sack Hughton.
  6. I wonder if we'll hear any songs aimed at Ashley like this? Ashley travels by helicopter the covertly and has a bodyguard, he wouldn't get into a car and drive through a mass of people. I bet he waits for a few hours after the match before leaving SJP.
  7. This sin't gonna happen but say we went up and he ad a 50m transfer fund would you trust him with it?
  8. It will also unsettle the players. I've never really bought into that. They know the abuse isn't directed at them and they're not so precious as to get a bit upset when someone in the stand calls the man who owns the club a nasty name. The poor performances last season weren't because of the protests, but because of s*** management. And s*** players. And physios It definatley effects them otherwise why would they constantly come out talking about it, if it didnt bother them they'd say nowt.
  9. Something Like "Wangcorps Park" Pronounced "Wankors"
  10. At least it hopefully wont be called something crap like the DW Stadium
  11. Just shout at the top of your voice its ashley when loads of charvers walk past.
  12. Leeds have made it clear they are not going to sell a player out of contract in the summer who is going to get them promotion this year. No thats just Ken Bates saying give us a shitload of money or piss off.
  13. Has he or has he not invested about £120m in NUFC since taking over? Seriosly yes or no will do, i assume any answer involving no will mean you can prove he signed off fraudulent accounts in June 2008? Like tim has said its all a PR exercise to announce it, thats not my concern i merely pointed out that he had done it and it didnt go to buy players. Still if you feel like being arsey i guess its your right as the boss. Wasn't that my whole point? Whatever Ashley says about money going into the club, it never turns into new players. Ever. The statement is very ambiguous and usually when you make ambiguous statements it is to hide something. It reads "Mike (yes our pal Mike) will put a further £20m into the Club this week." Will this money simply be added to the club's debt, which will be paid back to Ashley when he sells the club? I won't be holding my breath come January. I wasnt disagreeing with you though. I merely added that Ashley never said it was to be used to buy players Of course its not, its to cover debts and wages and the Albert Luque payments.
  14. I'd probably just get my gay mate to run up and kiss him whilst I take a photo.
  15. Only a week ago Ashley said he would have the final say on players and in the same breath he said he knew nowt about football - sums up his trust in Hughton. In the summer he backed him with 0 transfer funds. Hughton has been appointed after his worst run of results, a most unusual decision but easily explained by the fact he feels privileged to be where he is. A manager of pedigree would be insisting upon the funds necessary to address the major squad shortages, a fan with major backing by the fans could use this but Hughton isn't in a position to rock the boat and Ashley knows this. He's a yes man and a cheap one at that. There's nothing encouraging about this from what I can see - not a lot has changed other than the fact that any owner coming in next summer will have to compensate Hughton in order to replace him. I don't believe it'll give Hughton any extra authority over his players and it may even allow some of them to get complacent and take their foot off the gas. He's clearly seen as a soft touch by many people and I agree with nufc.com that he had an awful lot of the player's backing so early in the season. With an owner like Ashley we need someone who will rock the boat, ask awkward questions and keep the fat man accountable. A yes man operating under Ashley is a disaster waiting to happen, the guy even said himself he doesn't really know what he's doing. Aye but someone who wont basically agree with Ashley will be forced out.
  16. just for ssn to wind up the newcastle fans again, because it's been a while since the transfer window ended Sounds like a creditable theory to me. Any Theory is credible with Ashley, wouldn't surprise me if he sold the club to Celtic for 40 quid so celtic could relocate the club (us) and rename itsself celtic then Newcastle would be the former celtic team but would play at SJP, just a way for ashley to screw us by making us watch scottish football.
  17. What contract? Has he signed?
  18. Ok he's plaed on the left wing alot but nowt he's shown me has impressed me. Ranger and Carroll have to start. I wouldnt mind seeing Ranger and Loven tried out tbh but haven't seen it to know if it will work. It's pointless debate anyway we all know Hughton will start Harewood and Carroll and we'll get beat 2-0. Guess what, he isn't a winger. No shit sherlock, he has played upfront I believe with Harewood starting and was crap, he's also come on alot up front and also been crap plus he turned us down about 8/9 years ago as he aid Rangers were amuch bigger and better club and basically took the piss out of us.

  20. He's scoring though. May as well start Harewood and Lovenkrands if thast your thinking who are about as useful as an impotent pornstar.
