And that hasn't changed really for the best part of 60 years, so why it's so tragic now is beyond me. Exactly. If anything it's more understandable because of the wealth that has gone into the likes of Chelsea and Man City. It's not really a sporting competition in the proper sense of the word. Everton always seem to want to make a fist of things. Aye they're doing well. But also reliant on a loan striker. Let's see how they do longer term. They've done well with the resources they have had, i know they had Moyes for a solid 10 year stint, had some bad seasons but also broke into the champs league on a small budget. They made the switch to a new manager who has them playing some decent football, good on the eye. As a club their asperiations have changed since Moyes frist arrived from staying up, squad rebuilding to champions league football and now looking like a solid top 6 side. As long as Ashley is here is about treading water, keep heads above water and try not to drown. Thats it.

I think Ashley has really dropped a bollock this time. I can accept that we have to sell players at times, every club does but to sell your prize asset with nothing planned is just plain crazy and reckless. This has been done on to many occasions now to be bad timing, unforseen bid, to much money to refuse, victims of bigger clubs. Nah, we always sell before we buy and only bring in loans to cover the gaps. We really are being run on the bare minimum, you can only take this policy so far before people get really hacked off with it and I think we have almost reached that point.

Its really simple stuff...Ashley has few friends in football and doesn't trust people who he doesn't know. This is why we have nobs like Pardew and Kinnear at the club...and not forgetting is old pal who left LLambias. Kinnear has no power to sign anyone, he is just there as Ashley's go between. I think Ashley has just tried his luck again with a player. You dont get him, you dont get him. Another one will be available in the summer. This transfer policy, at first was understandle when stablising the club after relegation. Its not needed now. Ahh fuck it, cant be arsed.

I think its time this mysterious panel took a leaf out of the NHL's book. When the NHL hand out a ban they send out a video explaining why the player is banned and why they gave him the length of the ban. A full explenation!!
