Lampard has proved with Essien, Drogba, Obi Mikel and Malouda and Ballack around him that he can look good at Chelsea. FYP He is still a top drawer player though and he does look better playing with them but i think that is as much down to them knowing each others games better rather than just ability. Especially with Mikel as I don't rate him in the slightest. i never know what people can't understand about this - football is littered with players who are consistently good or great at club or even european level but once taken out of their comfort zone and put into an unfamiliar team they don't perform this is frank lampard, he's virtually the dictionary definition of it really Not to mention he is part of a Chelsea side that routinely roll over 90% of the opposition. When up against a team of other international players with good technique and no fear, reagardless of the size of the country I'm sure they start doubting themselves when things don't go well the first 20 minutes. Every professional team in the world can match you for effort....its that little bt of extra skill and technique that will take you past teams. Sadly we lack it, all we have is a bunch of blokes that can run for 90s. Massive overhall of what we in this country class as a good footballer. Actually have kids learning ball skills, playing on short, tight, picthes with a small ball. There are far to many footballers in this country that can charge around for 90 minutes but cant actually fucking cross or shoot the ball on target. Far to many managers are interested in stopping the other team then actually beating it. Only way i can see teams coming out to play, is 4 pts for a win and 1 for a draw an a long term project to start and produce players with BALL SKILLS. Also, when these new rules come in and clubs can only spend what they earn, the clubs will have to entertain to get people through the door.

All we wanted as fans was the remainder of the season, we were all just as pissed off as him if not more so. Would you be so pissed off with him if we didnt get relegated? Hard to guess how i would feel in an event that never took place. We were relegated by a single point and a goal. He could have helped us but jumped ship. Hero to zero in an instant.
