You didn't click the link did you? The photo would tell you they have infinitely better facilities than the NUFC training ground. The reason? "Purpose-built sports facilities on-site - the result of a £30m redevelopment in 2016".

https://www.nufc.co.uk/news/latest-news/newcastle-united-confirm-week-long-training-camp-at-multi-million-pound-campus-in-yorkshire/ "Newcastle United will prepare for the 2020/21 Premier League season with a week-long training camp at a multi-million pound complex in the Yorkshire countryside this month." "Taking on Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday, 25th August in what will be their first pre-season friendly of the summer. Kick-off will be at 2pm." Freudian Slip? https://www.nufc.com/

I doubt PIF will be allowed to buy NUFC. The issue is with the Premier League giving no decision. Their owners test isn't up to the job so they can't fail PIF for piracy, human rights, etc. Also, the "top 6 clubs" cartel have been revealed to have a say in who buys rival clubs which is anti-competition. The Premier League also has current owners of Premier League clubs who wouldn't pass the tests being applied to PIF. We may not get this takeover but it's created a storm which the Premier League will have to face.

No other teams fans will notice until it's them. They're too busy laughing at our collective disappointment at the moment I agree, I don't expect support from other fans, it's more the fact that it's bringing bad publicity to the Premier League with the Qatari links, leaks about other clubs having a say in who buys other clubs, the opaque "fit and proper person" test, etc. The FBI went after FIFA. It would be good to see some proper investigation into the Premier League by investigative journalists at least. The Premier League allowed and continue to allow people/organisations to own Premier League clubs who wouldn't pass the same tests that are being applied to PIF.

Guy is generally a scumbag. He voted against the 2nd Tyne tunnel and also against the Silverlink roundabout and A1 duelling. Had the misfortune of meeting him once before. He's an extremely bitter bastard. Hates NUFC or anything north of the Tyne for that matter. Openly admits it as well. Guy is a full blown Tosser. He sent his son to Whitley Bay High school despite living right next to John Spence. He sent him there because John Spence doesn’t have a good reputation or OFSTED rating, or at least it didn’t at the time, where as Whitley Bay did. If he was anyone else there is no way he would been able to send his kid to Whitley Bay over John Spence. Even if John Spence was full, he would have been required to send him to Marden, or Monkseaton ahead of Whitley Bay. It just so happens that both of those schools weren’t highly rated either. He was a teacher at Whitley High when i was there. He started dating a sixth form student and then left the school under a bit of a cloud i seem to remember. Then they got married a few years later. He was a right arsehole. Yes. He was born in 1957, left Whitley Bay High School in 1989 when he was 32. A sixth former would have been 18 when they left, so the scenario was he was 32 (or younger) and she was around 18 when they started seeing each other. Not a good look for an MP. It must make for an uncomfortable moment when anyone asks him or his wife how they met.

I can't understand what Mike Ashley would gain from destroying the deal. He can't be looking forward to the prospect of a season with potentially no paying "customers" coming through the turnstiles. Selling the club during the COVID19 pandemic, Brexit, etc seemed to be very much in his interest, especially as he was making a profit on his investment.

Newcastle United 1-3 Liverpool - 26/07/20 post match from pg9

It's just two blokes who post match reports. It's you who is putting them up on a pedestal (because they had the idea to get the NUFC.com website address back in the early days of the internet) not them. If they'd sold the NUFC.com domain name to the club back when they came calling you probably wouldn't expect anything of them. If they had decided to be "the voice of the fans" there would be plenty of NUFC fans saying "they don't speak for me". -

NUFC.com listed details of each planned protest, boycott, etc. They didn't encourage or discourage other fans participation. They don't claim to be the voice of the fans. Nobody would expect anything of them if their website was Niall&Biffa.co.uk rather than NUFC.com. -

Their only "crime" was getting the NUFC.com web address for their fanzine. Two blokes who run a NUFC website don't have to be the flag bearers for the rest of the fans. They've certainly never claimed to speak for all fans, gone on club organised jollies or the TV. -

Joelinton playing like an imposter of a football player. -

He’s pointless every time as far as I can see. Gets the odd assist and chance due to his frame. Other than that he’s tosh. He may be useful in cup games against much lower league teams. Other than that he's completely finished. -

Joelinton the striker who always looks to pass rather than shoot. -

Carroll the statue against a team full of athletic players is pointless. He can't outrun anyone. -

He’s actually been pretty fair on his commentary today I think Someone obviously had a word after last week as he has sang the praises of the fans and the team. -

Steve McManaman wanting NUFC to go for it and learn some lessons for next season i.e. get twatted by Liverpool for his entertainment. -

ASM is better on the wing than up front. He didn't really get going against Brighton either when he played upfront (he's probably carrying a knock). -

Sky and BT have been being dicks with showing too many replays and missing loads of action lately. All TV companies have an obsession with showing replays or the managers during play. It annoys the hell out of me.
