  1. Not a fan of 'Taxi Driver' then I take it?
  2. She'll spend the money on Spice. Someday a real rain will come and wash all the scum off the streets.
  3. If NUFC were in for Kayode and Man City bought him just to loan him out straight away why didn't they loan him to NUFC so he got Premiership experience? I presume the owners of Man City have something to do with Girona? The game is corrupt.
  4. Rafa Benitez thinks we need to sign a fucking goalkeeper. End of argument. English comprehension not your best subject was it? Read the full sentence more carefully next time, I've put the pertinent bit in bold for your benefit. It's well known Rafa wants a new, experienced keeper. So far he hasn't got one. I'm amused that people who last saw Krul play 2 and a half seasons ago think he should be ahead of who Rafa thinks should start. Rafa sees our players everyday in training. I back him to pick our best keeper. Rafa Benitez thinks we need to sign a fucking goalkeeper. End of argument. Oh yeah, he really got me there didn't he? How stupid I look.
  5. Rafa Benitez thinks Elliot is the best goalkeeper currently available to NUFC. End of argument.

  7. I don't rate him. I'd love him to be a success for the good of NUFC but I can't see it ever happening. He's slow, an awful finisher and must have a head shaped like a 50p piece going by his headers when near the opposition goal. Prove me wrong Mitro.
  8. The stats in that Daily Mail article are a laugh. Mitro has scored 93 goals before his 23rd birthday. Alan Shearer scored 67 and Andy Cole scored 45. Yes but in which leagues were those goals scored? Makes all the difference.
  9. You see his dummy/faint for the Atsu goal? Didn't he just fall over and the ball happened to go to Atsu? Would need to see a replay to be sure. A decent, powerful shot on target and his usual missed header from close range is what I remember from his attempts at goal.
  10. Another good thing about this footage is there are no random, lingering zoom in shots of people in the crowd or dugouts.
  11. I love no commentary. You don't have to listen to some bore trot out a load of cliches. If you were at the match and someone next to you prattled on like a commentator you'd want to lamp them. 23906 attendance.
  12. Reckon we will get 20k The Metro being off between South Gosforth and Four Lane Ends will probably put off a few who would have gone.
  13. Anyone come up with a realistic list of players who might be available to loan just before the transfer window closes? With it being a season before the World Cup they'll be a lot of players desperate for game time. They'll not be willing to be third or forth choice. I'd imagine the last few days of the transfer window will go mental with late loan deals. I'm expecting we'll be in for loans right up to the end of the window.
  14. Just the thought of him wasting chance after chance makes me want to sell him and go with the mystery option. If we end up having to rely on Mitrović to score goals for us we're going to be relegated.
  15. We don't have to buy a striker better than Mitrović. We can loan one. Anyway, there's probably plenty of strikers who would cost less than £15m to buy who could do a much better job than Mitrović at scoring goals.

  17. Chances are there'll be a lot of movement right at the end of the transfer window when players realise or are told they won't be a regular starter. I'd imagine if NUFC sell Mitrović it will only be when a replacement has been secured. I'd think if NUFC had got Tammy Abraham on loan Mitrović would have been pushed out already.
  18. If Lyon really want to buy him and are offering £15m I'd definitely sell him. There has also been talk of Turkish clubs being interested in him. As for replacing him, I'm sure we'd be able to loan at least one striker who is better than Mitrović at putting the ball in the back of the net. In a season leading up to a World Cup there'll be quite a few 2nd, 3rd or 4th choice strikers itching to go out on loan to make sure they get plenty of game time. We could probably still buy a relatively cheap striker who could do a decent job as third choice. A striker in the last year of their contract / a foreign league player where the fees aren't as high. For example, Middlesbrough had Negredo last season. Apparently Fulham agreed a £5m fee with Bordeaux for Diego Rolan before he rejected the move (no idea if he's any good but I don't rate Mitrović as a striker anyway). Most promoted clubs take advantage of the loan system. Obviously NUFC aren't going to be spending a lot so we can probably loan a better standard of player than we can buy at the moment, especially as a newly promoted club.
  19. I can't see where any investment will come from. Unless a buyer is happy to lose money there won't be a buyer. Which club makes a profit? Which club breaks even? In this time of mega money TV deals most clubs still don't turn much profit if at all. I wouldn't trust a consortium as they'd probably be wanting to make money which doesn't really happen. Our only hope would be a sovereign country investing like Man City have or a multi billionaire who isn't looking to make a profit.
  20. Even if we struggle to buy a new striker I think there'll be plenty available for loan near the end of the window. It's the World Cup next Summer and players who want to go have to make sure they are playing regularly this season.
