True but the child would have been spared. I'm speaking from experience of having seen it happen to people close to me. I forgot to mention the child also went blind. At least if it happens to an adult they can elect to have no further treatment. Parents don't want to give in even though it's probably better that they do. They'll try anything. It's understandable. It'll be sad when he dies but at least he'll not be suffering anymore.

I'm not sure I would have seen it that way if that happened to one of my kids. They didn't but it would have saved the child a lot of pain and suffering. Pets are spared suffering. The same rules are never applied to humans. The parents will never get over it.

His doctors said he was terminal last year. I know a 6 year old who died of a brain tumor he had since 2 years old. 4 years of living in hospitals, operation after operation, fed through a tube, chemo and "hope". Terrible for the family but he'd have been better off dying at 2 rather than having those 4 years of "life".

Season just gone Southampton finished 8th on 46 points and Watford were 17th on 40 points. Based on that, suggesting NUFC can finish in 8th is not much less likely than suggesting 17th. Outside of the top 6 then Everton, the Premiership is very even.

Pardew usually gets decent results for the first year he's at a club so I'd rather he didn't get the Sunderland job.

Is there a bigger cockend in football, than a certain John Terry?

I fondly recall the absolute dogs abuse SJP gave Ryan Giggs when we played and beat Man U 3-0 just after the news of him having an affair with his brother's wife broke. -
Sounds like Martin Hardy's book is more about what's been happening off the pitch than on it. A lot of people are interested in the changes Rafa is making behind the scenes. http://www.nufc.com/

For me the first consideration should be how the shirt looks on the pitch. I'm all for a luminous colour. Who cares how it looks with a pair of jeans? The purpose of the 2nd shirt is to be completely different to black and white stripes.

Even if they do get £30m for Pickford it doesn't fix the financial hole they're in. They also lose a home grown local lad to another team, never to play for them again.
-
They should have gone with purple shorts.

Hopefully the 2nd and 3rd kits will be predominately one, eye catching colour, not a mix. Blue, Yellow, Orange or Red. Looking through the colours we've previously had, Green, Grey or Silver aren't the best colours for our players to pick each other out on the football pitch.

You could argue aiming to finish 8th was only a little less realistic a target than aiming to finish 17th. Southampton are currently in 8th on 46 points and Swansea are 17th on 38 points. There are 10 teams covered by that 8 point difference. Outside the top 7 it is very close between the other teams.
-
I see every team outside the top 7 in the Premiership has a negative goal difference. Is that usually the case? http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/table

If he stays he'll be third choice striker at best (hopefully we'll be buying a new mobile striker as 1st or 2nd choice). Not in his interest to stay somewhere he won't get game time. 'Only' 38 games instead of 46 (and any cup runs). If he did end up getting a lot of game time it would mean we we're in trouble (due to injury to those ahead of him / failure to bring in another striker).

It was a photo of a very muscular Grant Hanley lookalike wearing chaps and holding a racket. I presume it was from a gay spanking video as there was another man wearing chaps with his back to the camera. Made me wonder what Dinho Lad was looking for when he found the image.

I'm surprised Chevrolet have a foothold in Asia. You'd think Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Suzuki, Kia, Hyundai, etc would see off any outside competition (apart from luxury car manufacturers). American cars (I'm not counting Ford or GM as they sell European rather than US model cars in Europe) never really sell in Europe as we have so much else to choose from.

I'm happy if NUFC loan players to fill out the squad. It's what most teams outside the top six do, especially newly promoted teams. There doesn't need to be an obligation to buy clause. Demanding an obligation to buy clause would mean missing out on the players the loaning clubs only want to loan not sell. -

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/newcastle-united-transfers-how-benitez-13030991 Says Rafa wants 7 to 10 new players. Looking to loan some of the new players to get the most value from his budget. -
His injury record is terrible, he has no pace and he'll be on big wages. Sell him if we can.

Take the Kia and Hyundai talk to the Car Thread. Seriously, we need some posts in there to dilute all the Mercedes AMG talk. http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,61772.5225.html

If there's one thing HTT knows it's AMG Mercedes.
