  1. 2nd choice keeper n all i think. Yeah that's first choice Japan aside from the keeper. Their left-back is pretty decent by the way. Almost out-Park'd Park during our friendly.
  2. Reckon you'll win? I honestly think we'll slaughter them considering our recent form. Then again I'm probably getting overconfident. Spain in three days time should fix that
  3. Well, I'm changing the channel to watch what should surely be riveting entertainment in South Korea v. Belarus....
  4. It would be just like football though for Japan to have quite possibly the worst buildup to the World Cup you could humanly imagine, and then suddenly take down England 1-0 just to give them a little glimmer of hope...
  5. If you lose to Japan you should just give up really. IMO, they're worse than North Korea
  6. This reminds me of Goal! and how awesome it would have been if that movie was actually any good.
  7. No offense to the English, but I love this.
  8. Greece draw 2 all with north Korea, nearly getting played off the pitch in the process. Looks like they're turboshit
  9. Korea 2-0 Japan Even a victory against the old enemy doesn't feel so good when they're so utterly shit. Easiest grudge match I've seen in a while.
  10. "Gook" has actually been a revelation since coming back home after his misadventures in England. He was always the kind of player who relies on his own natural talent rather than working for the team, and failing in the Premiership was just the wakeup call he needed. ("You're not that good you twat.") He's actually one of our hardest working players now, chases after every ball and always looks to bring his teammates into play. And while I've had a lot of fun at his expense while he was in England, he was desperately unlucky to do as poorly as he did considering that he's always been our best finisher. Couple the fact that he's missed 2 world cups (2002 due to falling out with Hiddink, 2006 due to injury) in a row and is absolutely desperate to salvage his reputation, I'd say he might be our player to watch for this tournament. And yes, I know how funny that sounds
  11. I can't help but feel great for Blackpool right now. What a story. I'm sure my admiration for them will abate significantly when they inevitably manage to take 4 points off us next season
  12. Chopra crying. Kind of feel bad for the guy.
  13. Speechless. Blackpool. In the Premier League. Wow.
  14. I know there's absolutely no chance of it happening, but did I go for the right choice out of your potential top scorers? I think either Lee Dong-Gook or Lee Chung-Yong would have been better choices. Park is our second best player but he's never been really prolific at senior level. More of a "everybody's favorite strike partner" kind of guy.
  15. WTF  Can we cancel the CL finals and just have these two play for five hours?
  16. Shola has scored more goals in the Premiership than Chopra probably ever will in his career. Chopra is just the ultimate Championship striker, but he'll always struggle to make the step up. Also, Charlie Adam is nuts. He's literally everywhere, commentator saying his name literally once very fifteen seconds. Cardiff score
  17. that has to be one of the best free kicks I've ever seen. Look at the dip on it, just brilliant.
  18. This is a jizz-worthy amazing match
  19. Completely random, but I'm about to put money on Lee Dong-Gook to score at the World Cup.
  20. Woah, the CL finals and the playoff finals all in one night? My interest in viewing matches as a neutral is directly correlated with how high-stakes those matches are, so this is going to be a fun night for me
  21. He literally just said that Ryan Taylor would get his "fair share" of chances. Depending on how he preforms in training during the pre-season, a "fair share" could very well be 0. No part of that interview seems anything but cautious and professional. Of course, let's just take it to mean that Ryan Taylor is going to start every game in the Premiership next season just so we can have a go at Hughton again
  22. South Korea 2 - 0 Ecuador Great atmosphere at the stadium today, possibly the best that I've ever seen. We basically manhandled a desperately poor Ecuador side and won comfortably. Lee Chung-Yong once again showing that he's a class above. Nice way to wrap up our last match at home before heading off to Europe for pre-WC training.
  23. In all honesty, if Colo did make the final squad and did get to play in the World Cup, I'd be more worried about his stock going down after a bad game or two. He's been class for us this year, but there's still this nagging suspicion that higher calibre strikers than the ones we've been facing on a weekly basis in the Championship might not be so forgiving. I'm sure he's dreading his epic showdown with Lee Dong-Gook
  24. Amazing Our No.7 is Park, by the way. http://cfile249.uf.daum.net/image/180A2F274BEACA17695DBE
