I've seen them both posting in the NUFC thread in the past so I'm not sure about that. They are certainly equally as unhinged though Exile might be sitting out a ban as he did dare a NUFC fan to report him to the mods for telling said NUFC fan to fuck off.
  2. It doesnt have to have gone ahead or be close to the date of going ahead. All it might take is for the PL to know it is definitely going ahead for them to quickly do a deal. Current estimates suggest that we will know the jurisdiction result by the end of the month....which is just before arbitration is due to start.
  3. Because they might be waiting to see if the CAT goes ahead. If it does, then they might throw the towel in before arbitration, do a deal with Ashley, and use the fact that Saudi is off the naughty list as their reasoning for passing it to BEin and the dirty six.
  4. You dont know that for sure. For all we know it might yet play a part in ensuring arbitration might not happen at all.
  5. The PL not seeing Saudi as a piracy threat anymore is unremarkable? I'd strongly disagee with that.
  6. His "OFFICIAL" triumphalist post today was simply about how it was a victory for BEin in the face of a Saudi competitor who had more money. It was a glaring little dig at the Saudis. If you don't see it that way then that's up to you. Yesterday was a major piece of good news for NUFC fans, and it felt really significant. That's not how Jacobs reported on it though. It came across as a quite grudging acknowledgement of a piece of positivity for NUFC fans. Again, if you don't see it that way then that's up to you. And yeah, now that he has presented himself as "Mr Balanced", I am watching him like a hawk.
  7. Of course, that's why I have commented on it. That's the point though. He didnt "champion" the story in the same manner he did with today's. He could have broke the story in manner that said "this is positve news for NUFC fans'. He didn't though, he retweeted it with a "see, I told you piracy was an important factor" point-scoring vibe.
  8. That's the thing though. It was a significant event in the whole saga and he didnt make any announcement of it all. Instead, he referenced the story to enable him to have a dig at a section of NUFC's support.
  9. Anything Saudi v Qatar is takeover related, in the current environment. Jacobs himself knows this and has used it to raise his profile. That's not especially a criticism of him though. His reaction to yesterday's news, regarding Saudi being taken off the naughty list, was noticeably muted. For someone who claims to just be reporting the story he just seemed to spend the time scoring cheap points against some of NUFC's support.
  10. Jacobs seems to be enjoying this a bit too much. I'm starting to have reservations about his "impartiality".
  11. Rarely, but we are talking about one of the worst kept secrets in football here. Rafa belittled them as a club when at LFC.
  12. No chance will Benitez end up there. They absolutely despise him.
  13. See, I do post positive stuff too. No idea who this bloke is but he claims to be a "solicitor specialising in international arbitration"
  14. Have to disagree. It seems there are people who are convinced without a doubt that it will happen. I'd just advise caution against that because if they truly believe their conviction then it will really, really hurt if it falls through. I'm have optimism too. It's only about 30% but it's still there, which is why I occasionally post a link or comment in the Positivity thread. The occasional good news story keeps me going, and posting it in the other thread bolsters the hope that I still have.
  15. I wasn't referring to our case at all. I was just highlighting what we are up against. There is simply no logical reason for anyone to be anything more than 50/50 in the confidence stakes, based on everything that we have seen play out over the last 12 months. I've already said I am 30/70 against, but that 30% still gives me hope, otherwise I wouldn't be hanging around here.
  16. Not at all bud. And I'm not talking about our legal case and how strong it is, or what Ashley has on them in terms of how the PL have dealt with us. I'm simply referring to the levels of corruption within the halls of power of the PL. If you can't see that after today's "punishment" for those clubs then I don't know what else I can say really.
  17. On the contrary. We now know for certain that those running the game are in the pocket of six clubs, and therefore those clubs will receive all the assistance they need to maintain their position, wherever possible.
  18. If today's events are not taken as a warning shot by the super-optimists then nothing will be. We are massively, massively up against it. The game is rigged beyond belief and the events in April have made no difference to who pulls all of the strings.
  19. Great news for Manchester United fans, as the Saudis will now be allowed to buy that club in 2022.
  20. I still think he will instinctively defend the PL's point of view. Everyone has a degree of unconscious bias and his will lean towards the PL.
  21. Oh dear. Considering that Beloff was the one who came up with the changes to the test I'd say that this confirms which way he will be leaning.
  22. It's not that surprising tbh. Ashley will have told him the arbitration timetable and that if the club wins then there quickly may be new owners...who want a different manager. It's still all ifs and buts, and we have been here before ...no red flags etc ... so I would recommend we all stay very cautious..cynical even.
  23. What do we make of this new "Newcastle" company listed by the Reubens on Companies House? Just something to do with their property plans or takeover related?
