  1. I'm not falling for any of the postive/negative stories anymore. Both sides seem equally confident and we will find out soon enough which one's confidence was misplaced.
  2. Which basically confirms that the "punishment" wasn't done with the fans in mind at all. It was all about the money. If any other PL club had tried this stunt they would have been relegated.
  3. This all day. The next few weeks will see both camps leaking their "confidence" to the media. Strap yourself in for more drama.
  4. Seems you have maintained an admirable level of detachment from this shitshow over the last 12 months.
  5. I will ask you directly then. Do you think the six clubs should have been given a points deduction that was enough to stop them from qualifying for Europe next season? Or how about being banned from Europe for a few seasons?

Yeah I've seen him on there. He is genuinely unhinged. For the last 10 months he has gloated about the takeover not happening. If it now goes through, someone is gonna need to keep a check on him. Or maybe he has heard from a source that it is going to be passed through soon, which is why he has disappeared.
  7. So basically, just like your owners, you want preferential treatment to that of other clubs in the leagues. Other clubs have been deducted points, relegated and gone into administration due to punishment from the football authorities, for trivial stuff like their owners running the club in a financially unsound manner. None of the fans of those clubs had anything to do with the actions of the owners but they suffered anyway. Man Utd's owners try to rip apart the very fabric of the game to the detriment of every other club, other than the other dodgy five, but you think that all they should suffer is a fine?

Has Exile1968 deleted his account on RTG? Not available to view since Monday. Maybe he deleted it out of embarrassment when someone pointed out that all he posts about is NUFC. I think his post history showed something like 190 of his previous 200 posts were in the NUFC thread, and 4 of the others were in threads where he also talked about us. SMB.
  9. For balance, I'd just like to add that the Glazers are indeed absolute parasites, and it's appalling that they have been allowed to leech off that club in the manner that they have. Let's be clear though, their fans weren't invading pitches when they were winning things under Ferguson with the Glazers as owners. And their ESL "protests" were because they knew that MUFC in the ESL, controlled by the Glazers, would quickly become a nothing club. Rarely winning the ESL, and probably rarely winning the EPL too because there would be limited motivation to do so.
  10. Maybe. Maybe not. We will never know the answer to that as we weren't involved in it. They were though and we saw how they behaved, therefore they are there to be shot at. I'd like to see @Froggy come out and tell us if he thinks the "punishment" MUFC are to receive is appropriate for their actions.
  11. 99.9% of your people involved with the club rebelled against it because they (rightly, to be fair) saw that Man Utd would end up in a very bad place within a matter of years. If however, they had believed that the ESL would have benefitted MUFC, it's fans and the MUFC matchday experience for the next generation - even if the remaining clubs in the game suffered - then those same protesters would have been all over the ESL like a rash. The perception that is being put forward in some quarters, like @HTT II in his post above for instance (a remarkable stand ffs ), that the fans of the horrible six "came together" to save English football, is a total fallacy.
  12. The protests against your owners were because, with the ESL, they were about to ruin the matchday experience for Manchester United fans. It had nothing to do with thinking of the welfare of other clubs or the game at large.
  13. Is Ferdinand the biggest prick to ever have been produced from the game? It's a pertinent question. Hopefully he continues to big-up Solskjaer so much that he stays there for another 10 years as they are never winning major honours under him.
  14. You jest, but it probably won't be too far off that. What we are going to need to do...IF...the takeover happens, is when knackers embarrass us on the TV, radio or internet then not to have a meltdown about it to fan the flames. At the end of the day, just ignoring this kind of stuff will be the quickest way to make it go away. We could probably do with taking advice from City fans on how to deal with all of the negative media attention.
  15. This whole affair is giving an insight into what it's going to be like if the takeover does go through. The media will constantly stir up shit in a bid to draw out the gobshites in our fanbase into making total tits of themselves on the internet and/or causing trouble for the Saudis themselves. The media will be actively looking for a new "Toongate".
  16. Absolutely. Applauded off the pitch for blatant cheating. Great fans though.
  17. Bollocks. The fans of the top six protested because they knew the ESL would be a dreadful experience for them as fans. It had absolutely sweet f.a to do with doing right by the game as a whole. Their away following is crap too. They are mouthy as fuck until they are losing, after that you dont hear a peep out of them.
  18. He may be a good poster in other areas but he has become nothing but a troll on anything takeover related. And if we are talking insults, you only need to look at one of his latest posts. Could he actually be any more condescending?
  19. Most football fans are freaks man. It's a totally irrational sport to follow. Also, I've met a few SAFC fans in real life who were sound, and who I eventually found out were posters on RTG. Sure enough, some of their posts were the usual vitriolic shite about NUFC. I didn't hold it against them though as I am rational enough to know that football is not real life. Maybe it's the case that the internet allows people to express their true thoughts without the fear or recriminations? All I can say is that from my experience the vast majority of Evertonians hold NUFC and it's support in utter contempt. And the grandoldteam forum is hardly a ragtag affair. It's the EFC supporters' main discussion board.
  20. Every chance that the CAT ends up like that. Gotta love the way law works eh?
  21. You haven't presented any facts or logic at all. You have just noted that Ashley is taking action against the PL and assumed that he is going to win. There is glaring evidence out there right now that it's going to be an uphill struggle to win. The club has a chance but the odds are 50/50 at best.
  22. Every post you make is designed to inflame and irritate. You have absolutely nothing else in your locker. Troll.
  23. I don't have an issue with the idea that he has some strong evidence that can win the day. It's the way he holds himself that is the problem. He's making himself, and therefore the rest of us, look ridiculous.
