  1. heres a couple of pics of alvaro http://www.penya-atenes.net/gr/images/joomleague_img/players/Liga/Levante_UD/alvaro.jpg http://sport.etv.ee/failid/4833.jpg
  2. Given the new setup now in place with Wise and co., maybe this will stand us in even better stead for signing players in the summer?
  3. Yeah spot on. Hopefully once our youth side will get built up so we won't have to rely exclusively on getting players in from other clubs. To have a good range of quality youth players dying to fill the gaps left by injured first teamers, we'll be a lot more prepared for when things go tits up.
  4. How has it been half arsed? We have signed NOBODY!! If we can't sign the players we want we should be signing other players, just for the sheer sake of it. We clearly have the money, may as well just spend it for the laugh if nothing else. Aye. As I've said in another thread, people have just built their hopes up and are at the point of wanting to see anyone in just for the sake of it now. This happens in every single January window without fail
  5. You're going to wake up in the shower yes, but Dennis' head will be poking through your curtain getting a good look at your footballs
  6. My estimate is that we'll spend £40m and get 7 or 8 players in..........that'd be amazing
  7. http://images.jupiterimages.com/common/detail/62/22/23352262.jpghttp://img530.imageshack.us/img530/6429/whiteninjadanceea9.gifhttp://www.money-tracker.co.uk/images/01-money-pound-sterling-fiver.jpg With the ambitious king Kev now back in the hotseat, do you think this could be our most ambitious summer for many a year, if not ever? I, for one, am pretty damn excited about how large the transfer kitty will be. Some sources say £50-60m but until this season ends, I doubt anyone will know for certain. I also think we'll see an incredible difference in the team thats playing today to the one that'll be assembled in the summer. The difference will be like night and day, like black and white you could say. Yes I used that pun on purpose. I think most of us realise that this season is heading towards a mid-table finish and that we should really focus on what lies ahead because with such a small squad at present, we're never likely to handle sudden surges up the table for long periods. How many players do you see coming in and with a squad so small, is there reason to let any go? So, do you forsee an exciting rollercoaster of a summer?
  8. The Guardian adds: Wise has guided Leeds to fifth place in League One despite the club starting the season with a 15-point penalty. However, he has grown disenchanted with life at Elland Road since his assistant and good friend, Gus Poyet, left to become Juande Ramos's No2 at Tottenham, and is understood to want a change of pace from the day-to-day grind of football management. Indeed Newcastle will allow him to spend just a few days a week on Tyneside, with the rest in London.
  9. Try not to judge too much on the next bunch of games as they're pretty difficult to say the least - arsenal, boro (very winnable), villa, man utd, blackburn (winnable), liverpool. Keep the faith harry and support your club, try not to winge too much and look forward to the transfer spree of glory in the summer!
  10. No-one knows a thing but that won't stop people going 'OMFG THIS IS A CIRCUS HOW DID KK NOT KNOW AND MORT IS EVIL AND ASHLEY HAS NO MONEY, OH NO RELEGATION GURANTEED NOW COZ MORINYO SAID NO OH FFS KILL ME NOW' etc..
  11. Amen brother, is it a case of not being one of our own? ...more a case of some of the forum members being a bit thick?
  12. oh our beloved Harry, positive as always eh?
  13. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/newcastle_united/7213096.stm Keegan himself would not be drawn on the subject of Wise at a Newcastle media briefing on Monday. "Obviously, there are going to be some moves at this club, but I think the chairman (Chris Mort) has really got to come out and say what that's all about later this week."
  14. Well thats sounds great actually, a guy like wise in charge of our youth setup is quality, hes got leeds right up the table and maybe he wanted a new challenge? joining the revolution
  15. Exactly mate, we're all a bit down but in our hearts we know there will be a frenzy in the summer, the rollercoaster will truly be set in motion
  16. Well he has my full support! I honestly don't keep tabs on what he's been doing or what he's done but I hope he brings a lot to st.james. Hes a good young coach.
  17. god, no players coming in is getting me down but we mostly expected there not to be any new players after Kev arrived so far into the transfer window. Any players that do sign would be a bonus so try to set our sights low for this window and double them when the summer one comes around
  18. He didn't put a foot wrong when he was with us, gave his all, scored a good amount of times and a bunch of those were crucial. He pleasantly surprised all of us and I have a good amount of respect for him. Top bloke.
  19. ...some of them turn out to be true, its all a bit of fun...unless you get your little hopes up?
  20. Aye, thats one heck of a back 4 for me. Better than we had for years but even if you have doubts over woodys fitness, we weren't as bare bones as we were back when he was here last. Back then we had ramage or edgar to come in if woody got injured but this time we have taylor, cacapa, rozenhal to choose from which is great
  21. lad called pattison who plays for norwich
  22. just to tease them. He wants to see the look on their faces when he goes "OK Ramos, I'm definately, definately going to join...............NEWCASTLE, haha got you there didn't I?!........*gives the finger whilst skipping away* "
