Ok guys and girls, one thing we all agree on is SHOLA IS SHIT and WE NEED A CREATIVE MIDFIELDER. We all know this and we all know Keegan knows this, its just that tonight this was basically an enforced lineup that he had to make. We attacked the whole match but we knew Shola wasn't going to get a hat-trick, we know Bolton we're going to kill the game from the first whistle, we also knew its hard to create chances when you have to rely on Rozehnal behind the front two strikers. Lets move on, keep an eye on the gossip columns and wait for some new signings to be made. We need to see the bigger picture. I simply can't wait to see whats in store for us, Mikes going to splash the cash big time Oh and another thing we all agree on - Carr, stop shooting!! ARRRGGGH, hes trying to hit seagulls or somethin'
-
While it is true that they did not play one-touch football or free flowing football, did not score today and their opponent was Bolton, however, I am mindful that Keegan had just 3 days with the players, the players need to get acquainted to each other and Keegan's style football. Unless there is a player that can wow all of us or is a potential prospect, otherwise, I'm against signing any players. Let's wait and see and as many has said, there's plenty of optimism today. For better days ahead ^^ Regards, Ericz. Keegan has already stated he'll not just be making up the numbers this transfer window, they have to make a big impact quickly. He also said we have a very small squad so the future looks very bright in terms of players are on the menu transfer-wise. Tough times ahead with the double arsenal games, then villa then man utd but try to see the bigger picture and the money thats going to be spent in the short term aswell as the long term

We never stopped attacking the whole match which I was well happy with. Yeah we didn't get lucky but its obvious the areas we need strengthening in which we all know. Milner never stopped but it was an off day for his crossing in fairness. Keep checking the transfer rumours soon tho, I smell new players around the corner

What?? There was no one else to play up front, who else should he have played? Libertine, stop kneejerking like a mong. As teasy states, we had no other option due to suspensions and injuries. Would you have played Carroll up front or Ameobi, your call. Plus we had these options on the bench: Edgar, Troisi, Carroll and Lua Lua. We didn't play that badly I thought, Bolton just had 10 men behind the ball and were right dirty fucks. We've got our point and Keegan will know who he needs to go and get and with a rumoured £20-30m to spend in the next 10 days, be patient. I popped in to check the forum post match and I knew there'd be some fools saying things like "Call that entertainment?! omg sack everyone". Its one of the most predictable elements of the forum, the post match mong syndrom which I guess can't be helped Tough matches ahead! Time to reinforce big time

hey NE5, I haven't seen much of you in discussions lately, how are you finding the return of KK? memories coming back? they certainly are for me but I imagine you've seen a little more than I have since I started supporting nufc and football in general when I was 10, in 1992.
-
Same here, I was 10 then. 16 years now and thats never going to stop growing!
-
Yep, we've got no alternatives right now so hes got to play out of his skin and impress us as best he can. No more excuses J, just get on with it

just stick it in your signature! Quick Links > Edit Profile Regards, Willow the Wisp

maybe we could reword the title of this thread as its not a public event and SJP will not be open to the public. I'm probably jus being fussy tho because its on tv either way I guess

It could be Oba. Actually no, I see what you mean because Oba is much taller than SWP and so that joke wouldn't work at all. FYP
-
Yup, just a good old press conference is all we need and want. Show the scenes outside St.James by all means, just don't talk to them
-
That'd be great but I'm guessing this window will be a little early in terms of seeing players like that come in but I'd love it, JUST LOVE IT if I was wrong. Thats exactly the kind of player we need right now and as we and mike know, we'll have to get the cash out big time if we want to catch up anytime soon.

I must be sick in the head but I keep reading it as Kevin Blow Jobs. I need help. Personally I started supporting Newcastle (and football in general) when I was about 9 or 10 - so I guess 1992 onwards so I'm an original fan with regards to your poll. 16 years of rollercoaster rides and we're back to getting on the biggest and best of them again Plus, I wouldn't call it so much of a bandwagon, its just current supporters cheering for their new manager.

Just alan and lee ryder talking about the whole keegan thing, nothing special. Alan putting on a paper keegan mask that they're giving away with the chron on saturday, haha, pretty cringeworthy! I actually saw alan oliver last night going into Shearers bar whilst I was waiting in the queue for my ticket
-
Oh I'm sure he will Also glad to hear hes only 56 too, thought he was older but Fergies like 67 isn't he? Arry is 60 and Houlliers 61. Keegans got a head start
-
Tbh I wouldn't be adverse to Coleman getting involved with us, hes a very driven character and a very stubborn one too. Not sure where that'd leave Pearson though, we'll just have to wait and see. Been such a hectic few days, KK must be out of breath, he needs to relax right now and look at the situation from all angles, so give him.......well, 2 days or so for that

I loved the 'Are you Sunderland in disguise' chants

It is quite late in the window but we all know that now, hopefully questions may be answered on Friday: The 56-year-old will be officially unveiled as the new black and white boss on Friday afternoon in front of what is sure to be a watching worldwide audience.

the thought of going into the unknown is ultimately more exciting than the thought of a team led by the likes of Harry Redknapp and Mark Hughes. These are good managers. But they don't cause the adrenaline to flow. it has taken Keegan just 30 seconds to make me anticipate, rather than dread, the rest of the season. Welcome Back King Kev. You've been missed.

I think everyone is holding Mike to his word when he says a toon revival is on the cards http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/newcastle_united/7185687.stm "I want a team that will go all out to try to give Chelsea a walloping, that will try to stuff Tottenham and that will be brave and bold enough to attack Manchester United." I haven't got a damn clue about who he'd buy and even if hes got enough time to get a player or two in but I'm optomistic
