    Peter Crouch

Personally I'd really like to see Crouch here. Top price I would pay would be £10-12m, I just think he'd do well for us

  5. ...been waiting for this moment for years now
  6. Amara Diane will be a pile of dust and bones by the time this thread ends...
  7. who knows......I'd imagine Arda would speak to emre about us and he'd tell him how good it is here...
  8. not bad? it'd be bloody fantastic! I skipped a few pages in here, did a figure of that amount come up? I'd guess it'd be more like £3-5m, hope I'm wrong though...
  9. *looks in thread, notices NE5 and Mick are talking about the old board, leaves*
  10. We'd all prefer it if you didn't post in threads full stop. I agree with chicago_shearer. Its only going to change if some kind of law is altered or set in place to enforce real facts to be included. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE to see the cheeky bastards get sued but these so-called journalists tend to know exactly how to bend the rules and get away with it. I really don't agree with the stories that have zero quotes whatsoever and no sources provided, they're pathetic and utterly pointless.
  11. at times hes been my favourite player at the club, put everything into his performances and had genuine talent. Basically if his injury record wasn't so bad he'd be here for a few more years. Ciao emre and good luck. Now, time to get in replacements........

    Anyone else think?

I'd say we need 5 or 6 players but I don't think any of us have any idea how this summers going to pan out. The european ch'ship is a spanner in the works too, so prices will be all over the shop at times. I'm strangely looking forward to this window though......I'm an optimist at heart and when I heard we were willing to splash over £20m on Modric alone, that made me realise we may have something up our sleeve.....
  13. you LIVE for the transfer window MJ, its like christmas every time innit?
  14. is this the same player who used to play for Milan and/or Roma? or am I thinking too far back. I used to watch football italia all the time and recall this name...

  18. http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/sport/article-23487778-details/article.do?ito=newsnow& Rangers and Newcastle face summer battle for Greek defender Torosidis Rangers also face competition from Newcastle United for Greek defender Vassilis Torosidis. The 22-year-old has caught the eye of Ibrox boss Walter Smith but Olympiakos want £4m before they will allow him to leave. Vassilis Torosidis Monaco, Marseille and Atletico Madrid are all interested but Kevin Keegan's cash-rich Newcastle will now be viewed as favourites to get Torosidis. The 11-times capped player will play alongside former Rangers defender Sotirios Kyrgiakos for the Greek national team at Euro 2008 this summer.
  19. I really hope this happens, hah Abramovich is officially insane if that's true.
  20. This is a nothing post but I thought I'd stick it in here for a laugh anyway. http://cfcuk.net/story.php?id=100925 Following Chelsea’s penultimate match of last season’s Premier league programme, the Blues team were going down the St James' Park tunnel as the Newcastle Utd side were going out on to the pitch to wish their supporters all the best for the summer break. As Shaun passed one of the Newcastle side – a former team mate – he was asked about the rumours that were already abounding about his possible departure from Stamford Bridge. He was also asked whether there was any truth in the newspaper stories that were, even then, linking the England midfielder with a move to The Toon. Before he had the time to answer, the Newcastle player – who shall not be named for obvious reasons – said, “Don’t bother coming up here... it’s a sh*thole!” With that, the two players then shook hands, wished each other ‘all the best’ and went their separate ways. After that piece of advice, given with the best of intentions, it’s a safe bet that Shaun Wright-Phillips will not, should he consider leaving Stamford Bridge, be venturing to the grim norvern wastelands of Newcastle!

    Arda Turan?

Exactly. We must stop typing anything of our targets until the window shuts.
  22. Sorry but that really isn't true. Whys that?
