Can only agree with that. Hate Bayern more than any other club. Just hope that Mourinho will have a masterplan to destroy them in the CL final. Bayern should not be in that final, I can only say that again. I hope their luck finally comes to an end.

Which goalkeeper will be England's Nr. 1 btw? Or who will be the favourite to be?

12,50 € on Forest to win tonight.

worth a punt who knows he and arsene may prefer us to get him Arsene has always had good things to say about us, as has Mourinho for some reason. Should be able to get one of their players. Vela, Merida or someone like that. I'd rather get Mourinho himself than any of his players.

Yep. Both realistic as well. Although Altintop has said he loves it in Munich (after seeing him celebrating the title on the balcony of the Munich city hall it certainly looked that way, too) and Magath wants him at Schalke. Guerrero has said he wants a new contract at HSV but I can see that falling through because they don't have a manager/head-coach at the moment and he could be well out of favour also by the fans because of that bottle he threw at a fan.

It is indeed. Have you been auf Schalke? It's a fantastic stadium, with one hell of an atmosphere. At any rate, the cities of Gelsenkirchen and Newcastle have a lot more in common than Newcastle and Hamburg, I'd wager. I've never actually been to Newcastle, but I've lived in both Hamburg and Gelsenkirchen. HSV always struck me as a bit of a prawn sandwich brigade (St Pauli for the real fans), while I'll never forget the 2000 Schalke fans waiting at the train station in 2001, who all started singing "shove the league trophy up the Bayerns' arse" the second the team arrived. Ok, have to say, I've never been to Hamburg or Gelsenkirchen. I've only said that Hamburg are a bit similar to us because of the things I've heard about that. After seeing your pics and reading your argument I have to agree. Schalke fans are great, indeed. Everytime I watch a match of Schalke I think that tbh.

whos back up rb There's not one in the squad - stick Milner there if it's absolutely necessary. That's what Carragher's been brought in for. But as you said, I'd rather have Milner than Carragher. It's scary to think that a lot of players in the squad are either injury prone or coming back from injury. We have an outside chance with Rooney, we have no chance without him, that's scary. Still, my spirit is high, I think its going to be a good summer. Isn't that the case with almost every team? Portugal will only have a chance of doing well (not winning) with C.Ronaldo, Brazil with Kaka, Germany only if Ballack will have another very good tournament (like 2002 or sometimes 2006), Ivory Coast will only have a chance to survive the group stages if Drogba does well... and so on and so on. Every team has their player (for some teams it are probably 2 or 3 players) they have to rely on. Probably only Spain who have a very good team even without the likes of Torres or Xavi.
-
Think Hamburg are more similar to us tbh. Great supporters and stadium. One manager per season and so on. Schalke had won the DFB Pokal (sim. to the FA Cup) only few years ago as well. Don't think they're too similar to us.
-
This. The league's are over anyways so it's unlikely that injuries would happen.
-
Looking at that list, barring injury, I can't see Capello picking him ahead of Rooney, Heskey, Defore and Crouch. He might go with 5 strikers. Thought that as well. Löw for example has said he will even take 6 striker to the world cup. So I don't think 5 is too many or anything.

England squad: Goalkeepers Joe Hart, David James, Robert Green Defenders Leighton Baines, Jamie Carragher, Ashley Cole, Michael Dawson, Rio Ferdinand, Glen Johnson, Ledley King, John Terry, Matthew Upson, Stephen Warnock Midfielders Gareth Barry, Michael Carrick, Joe Cole, Steven Gerrard, Tom Huddlestone, Adam Johnson, Frank Lampard, Aaron Lennon, James Milner, Scott Parker, Theo Walcott, Shaun Wright-Phillips Forwards Darren Bent, Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe, Emile Heskey, Wayne Rooney Who said Parker would and should be in that squad?
-
Probably Arjen Robben. Came from Madrid after years of injuries and sitting on the bench. Not has the chance (even if it's only an "official" chance) to win the triple with Bayern and maybe has been their best player so far this season.

I know. But what I meant is that the Mark Viduka who once played for Middlesbrough and was a top PL striker. At the World Cup 2006 he was very important for them I think. Scored none iirc. True, again. He was never a player to score a great amount of goals for Australia. But his hold up play has been great normaly.

Wolfsburg has much more money than HSV. Magath got there about 50 million to spend in his time there. HSV only sell their best players to Bayern or nowadays to Man City for much money. That Wolfsburg has more money comes from the fact that VW is fully behind that club. I know about the money issue but I think most would still regard HSV as the bigger club would they not? Plus as they haven't won much recently if he did so he could achieve legendary status. How come HSV stuggle so badly for money, they've raked in a fair bit recently for De Jong & Kompany and probably Boateng & get decent crowds. If they don't get much money they should stop giving away the likes of Olic and soon to be Guererro on free's. HSV won't play in Europe next season (as Wolfsburg) so no reason to think they're the bigger club. Probably they still are because of their history and all that. But still I think McClaren does the right thing here because Wolfsburg is a much more stable club than Hamburg. As I've said some time ago - Hamburg are a bit like the "German Newcastle"
-
No Mark Viduka Seriously, I think Viduka was one of the (if not the) most important player for Australia for a long time. Think they're gonna miss him badly this World Cup.

That 1860 shirt(s) Glad that there's no Puma on it.

great if that's the case.

Why should Hughton walk out? He has a contract left till the end of next season and will surely get a new contract if he keeps us up. He also worked under much more difficult circumstances back in summer 2009.
-
Don't really know what to make of that statment. I guess we still have to wait till the transfer window is over to rate the whole situation and to make predictions on next season.
-
I read some think we would sell Krul. This would be one of the biggest mistakes we could make. He has to stay. I'd rather sell Harper and take the gamble on Krul and start him from next season knowing that he has many many (great) years ahead of him.

Germany: http://transfermarkt.de/de/spieler/vertragsende/basics.html 3 pages, did not want to write that all.

What did he say this time? Btw. was our all old friend Michael Owen at the lap of honour at Old Trafford? Or was he just abscent because of horse racing?

Don't like Bayern Munich but their title partys in Munich are always special and amazing somehow. So many people in front of the city hall there, certainly great supporters. http://cache.daylife.com/imageserve/08re1wD3802BX/610x.jpg http://cache.daylife.com/imageserve/0apQ6pD8TT7HA/x610.jpg
