  1. ah so you've taken it to the nth degree then - i wasn't suggesting we sign an inferior player just because of the foot he kicked with, simply that having the option to cross on the FB's natural foot would be an asset plenty of FB's overlap and get to the byline imo, but yes enrique wasn't prolific at it...don't see that that's relevant though

    sunderland

uncal mick looks like a fucking deranged murderer at times like
  3. A million times this, the much maligned 4-4-2 would look a lot better if we had the ability to mix it up by getting to the byline and putting a cross in, not to mention the obvious benefits of natural sided full backs in a 4-3-3. We need balance. better balanced with decent players than choosing because of what foot someone kicks with. what the fuck man, you just being argumentative? flip it then, let's sign a left footed right back - what does that give us seeing as we play a left footer at RW and a right footer at LW aye, lets not consider a massively important aspect of tactics and ways to play
  4. backward step trying to work that anywhere near enough to actually pick players on the strength of it. don't follow you, alls i'm saying is if santon stays at LB then it'd surely be an asset to have a natrually right footed RB who can offer you that? don't see how that's in any way counter productive cisse is amazing between defence and keeper and ba can head the ball and is a big fucker, how is adding that aspect to our game possibly a negative?
  5. i'd like that option on either flank, overlapping FB's getting to the byline to whip crosses in for Cisse...it'd be a goldmine doesn't have to be our only option
  6. what i was getting at was had ferdinand been fat and ginger then the likelihood is terry would used that, default responses....it's a natural thing for many people to look at physical appearance and base judgements on it, it's also natural that your mind would link skin colour to a person you're arguing with as it's what differentiates them...had ferdinand been gay and terry knew it he might well have called him on that instead of his skin colour, almost certainly in fact as you say weak points/easy hurtful target + social background imo
  7. i grew up with a lot of casual racism from family and friends, just sheer ignorance from people who don't know better but certainly people who'd never actively wish to harm anyone regardless of their colour or creed the point being that the amount of racist language i was steeped in is still in there somewhere, in the event i lost my shit in an argument under severe pressure there's clearly a chance i might resort to some of it as a 'default' setting can imagine something like that happening with terry tbh, just wanted to insult the guy but used the wrong word (understatement )
  8. that'd be totally unprecedented certainly in british football like...
  9. eventually someone is going to test the boundaries of being able to cancel a players contract without penalty or payment due to their behaviour on the pitch barton seems intent on pushing those boundaries himself tbh
  10. depends on whether a manager sees it as a lost cause or not, having a look through their current squad i'd say they have as top class players: Agger (injury prone) Enrique (needs to find form) Suarez (cunt) Gerrard (old / injuries) Reina Škrtel the rest of their squad is pretty fucking mediocre or poor carroll henderson adam shelvey spearing of this group some may or may not make it but it's unlikely that any of them will set the world on fire based on current evidence guess then there's some kids and random foreigners who might step up whatever way you look at it, even with another 100m to spend, that's a pretty sizeable task
  11. we seen any evidence that santon can cross with his right? something i'd really like to see us add next year, some quality crossing either from FB or AM/W positions...cisse will be fucking devastating (more) if we start whipping quality crosses in like
  12. well, imo tiote is arguably the best DM in the league - if someone wants him they need to be prepared to pay for him surely? he's still got 5 years left on his contract as well would depend if they were going to pay for someone proven in the league or take a cheaper gamble from elsewhere
  13. ashley won't sell tiote for less 20m imo, not a chance...with the likes of manyoo & chelsea needing entirely new midfields to replace the decrepit old bones they have there now the ball is in the sellers court if cabaye has a good euro they'll be all over him as well, especially manyoo imo
  14. that's actually the most sensible suggestion i've heard yet Personally, I'd say the fairest thing is sticking to the rules that have been in place all season. well aye, i don't mean changing it now i mean thinking of something that isn't total shite for the future seems to me they took the easy option when it happened with liverpool not really expecting it to happen again
  15. agree with this this, in the heat of the moment people are capable of doing and saying anything doesn't make it right though
  16. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2012/may/19/liverpool-roberto-martinez-ambition hope they're not reading the last bit of this
  17. that's actually the most sensible suggestion i've heard yet
  18. what's (a) the worst that can happen to terry in the court case and (b) the most likely? "charged with using racist language" according to wiki, what's that carry if found guilty? not really followed this at all being so far out of things
  19. suppose they'd argue the winners are Champions at the end, and it's a partial league format
  20. fuck soz phil k, disregard all that shite then
  21. If you want to pretent it doesn't happen, thats fine, and your business. your post was about a mass player exodus, you haven't got any f***ing players anyone wants our players have been linked away more than yours this season tbh oh yeah sorry so there's skrtel rumours & suarez i suppose...not sure what you're getting at though implying noone bothers spurs, last summer was essentially little more than a media campaign to get modric out of spurs iirc Don't mean to sound nasty, but what the hell are you on about ? (baffled) I'm referring to how the press has gloried in NUFC's plight over the years past And now I wonder if they'll turn on Spuds with equal relish. Nothing about Liverpool at all.....(Why Liverpool ?) thought you were a liverpool fan well, this is embarrassing

  23. Abeid isn't a defensive midfielder if that's what you are implying. People might think we are convered there but for me that is the most important position we need to strength. No 1 pos for me. eh? only way that works is if we sign an 18 year old prospect who has potential and probably the size of a wardrobe...either that or sign someone established and accept that you'll be playing him with tiote whenever they're both fit...the lad at blackburn perhaps, diame? krul nr/santon new cb colo new lb/santon tiote diame cabaye hba cisse ba might not be the worst move in the word, give cabaye more of a platform to dominate play
  24. the dabo thing did not make good reading like
