don't like these narrow formations one little bit, unless we get dubuchy in which case they perhaps become viable
-
i still think we'll get debuchy like, however i think unless something unexpected happens on the striker front (such as liverpool offering carroll on loan with a view to buy) i think ashley will be content to wait it out and look to set up a deal before january for a new striker, get him in as the african lads leave for the ACoN just my thoughts....with the amount of midfielders and wingers we're accumulating it's not beyond the realms of possibility to play one up when needed and limp to january with what we've got

remember how man city bossed us in midfield at the end of the season, cabaye and tiote just couldn't get a foothold against them....hope this is pards looking to put a nice little system in place with 2 strong CM's/DM's who can both play and retain possession thus allowing cabaye in particular more freedom to get on the ball higher up the pitch in fact i'm very excited by this proposition as it would suggest pards knew cabaye was being weighed down with defensive duties at times last season, perhaps anita and bigi as backup are there to right that? be great to see cabaye/cisee/hba playing high up and causing havoc

RVP risky for me with his injury track record as SEMTEX has said. Still, as also said won't bother them much in the league if he never plays.
-
Does anyone think he's not playing Cisse, Ba & HBA due to Ramadan then? Surely must be the main reason behind them not playing. Not sure about Cabaye, he ain't had long off since the Euros so guess he must be sharp enough?
-
agree, people a bit ott over liverpool atm - shouldn't underestimate the dalglish effect last season, he's almost singularly responsible for that shambles, if we finish above them again we'll have had a better season than last imo
-
still think he'll sign personally

"Allen has been a target for Rodgers since he left Swansea for Anfield in June, despite Liverpool signing an agreement not to raid their manager's former club for players for 12 months. Liverpool have exploited a technicality in Allen's Swansea contract that allows him to join one of five specified clubs – Liverpool among them – for £15m and, having met the price, the Wales international is free to hold talks over a move to Merseyside." http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/aug/08/liverpool-joe-allen-swansea-city how to keeping winning friends and influencing people liverpool...technicalities always go down well i find

wouldn't want to see the little shitehawk dregde another penny out of football, he stopped deserving and earning that right many years ago imo hope he's forced to retire through lack of interest, or forced to go to rangers...yeah to rangers newco would be about alls i could be willing to accept for the little fuck
-
literally none of that makes any sense, i think the lack of man city activity is sending people batshit insane personally

even under the kk sjh free spending days we never had that luxury, virtually noone does these days What I mean is with a basically completed squad, that is able to face the upcoming season without struggling. Then of course some extra players can always be (and often are) added later, but if you start with 3 or 4 significant players still missing it's surely not a good start. in the current climate the only thing wrong with our squad, imo, is the african nations cup

hate myself for saying it but look at the teams around us and what they have(n't) done in the market...if we were sitting looking at the likes of everton and liverpool having strengthened considerably then i'd probably be somewhat perturbed but no-one is really doing any business we're playing the same game we have since promotion and we've lost some windows and won some windows quite considerably...i'm confident if we don't get a certain player now then we'll keep chasing through january, cisse is concrete proof of that in fact
-
interesting and challenging times for pardew, it's going to be very, very hard for him to push on further than we did last season, nigh on impossible tbh i hope for a cup win (who doesn't)...pards has grown on me massively like, i'd hate to see it fizzle out for him
-
i think it's time for doom and gloom merchants to take over and get overly negative about our (lack of) transfer activity then we'll sign some players or i suppose ozzimandias could say he's cast iron certain that ashley won't spend a fucking penny the fat cockney cunt, that'll get things moving
-
€4m difference is a bridgable gap, i'm pretty confident this lad will join - i honestly it's known where he wants to go hence no other clubs have come in for him
-
why isn't this being taken seriously, out of interest? last year of contract if we hoy cash down it might get us ahead of the pack
-
not sure what it is about that strip but it doesn't look like a sunderland strip to me honestly can't say why, perhaps it's the poor quality pic

West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll
mrmojorisin75 replied to Pilko's topic in Football
honest question but which games do you think we needed that option in? -
reminds me, when's ramadan?
