  1. Both completely mediocre. Rondon especially has the same sort of scoring record and limitations as Mitrovic.

I just want to stay in the league, I think relegation this time would be very different. As for Rafa, he's a great manager and I hope he stays, but I'm resigned to him going in the summer and I find the idea of him being vital to the possible takeover pretty bizarre. Managers very rarely stay at clubs more than a few years, you don't invest hundreds of millions based on who the manager is.

Because it makes perfect sense for a relegation threatened club to invest a bit more than they usually would to stay in the league and not lose £100m, or whatever it would be. We're just really thick.
  4. I can't imagine they would commit to paying his big wages and a big transfer fee in the summer and then not play him a decent amount of time though.
  5. It sounds like Sturridge wasn't keen on a move to Inter either, so it seems obvious he's prioritising comfort and convenience at this point in his career. It's not necessarily about right or wrong, but an ambitious player still wanting to compete at a high level would have gone there.
  6. Bellamy is an idiotic little underpants Gnome. What's his logic for repeatedly asserting that Ashley will leave the club in a good position? Literally the only positive is that the club hasn't gone bankrupt, which you would think is the bare minimum to expect. Well done Mike, you didn't burn the stadium down and lose everything, have a medal.
  7. I have the feeling most players would pick WBA over us right now, regardless of who our manager is.
  8. Christian Purslow is one boring corporate motherfucker

I was hoping I was just being an extreme pessimist.
  10. A suitable end to this transfer window really, total humiliation for the club. I never thought I would see us being bottom of the pile when it comes to attracting players.
  11. I would throw last January in there as well, 3 horrendous transfer windows in a row when we're trying to build a premier league team. I said it when the takeover fell through, Mike Ashley isn't a rational actor, he's willing to run his own investment into the ground for no good reason.
  12. I would expect a professional footballer to pick Rafa over Alan Pardew tbh. You would have expected the same from Abrahams and Cabellero as well, it's obviously not at Rafa's end where the agreement falls down. Ofcourse, I'm not blaming him or Sturridge. I expect it's as simple them offering him a better deal.
  13. I would expect a professional footballer to pick Rafa over Alan Pardew tbh.
  14. I'll believe this when I see it. Another epic 6 month loan saga perhaps.
  15. What do you expect, we can't compete with Man City.
  16. I agree that Sky appear to be well fishy when it comes to Ashley, I just can't see what's in it for them though. They're probably just be too lazy to talk to people with a different view to their boys, I doubt they give enough of a shit about what has been happening here to dig into it.
  17. To be fair LB is seen as a big problem for Liverpool, Robertson probably won't last long there and will end up a bottom half player.
  18. Simply disgusting from Liverpool. Should be ashamed of themselves.
  19. We can't afford to go down to 10 men, yet Shelvey still gets chances. I understand squad discipline and I support being strict with them, but when you have players as shit as ours there's a line you have to walk. Someone like Joselu might be a very good boy, but he's a horrific footballer. If someone is of no use on the pitch then what does it really matter how well they train or how well behaved they are?
  20. They both got 9 in 34 in their first premier league seasons, which I found very mildly interesting. Probably not much between them, they seem to have similar strengths and weaknesses.
  21. "Lets call an emergency meeting, I just had a thought that the fans won't like getting relegated again".
  22. No he won’t, he’ll never take a loss. If we go down the top bid for the club will be £250m. I think he’ll be offered the full £300m from Staveley if we stay up. Him accepting that all depends on if he think staying up and the new TV deal results in an increase on that price which he is said to be ready to accept now. Well that's my point really.
  23. What ? During the clip of his post match when he is talking about the leg break. He was suppressing a belch half way through. It was so gross man. You know when you see coaches drinking out of squeezy bottles during matches? Allardyce has chinese takeaway curry sauce in his.
  24. If the club gets relegated there's a 0% chance he would get what he wants, in fact he would probably take a loss.
