I don't think it's going to happen, Chelsea will get Alex from PSV, they've already actually bought him and he's on loan there.

I'd like to see him go at the end of the season and take the old boys club(Clark and McDerrmot) with him,... ideally Shepherd would go with them but you can't have everything. Shepherd likes to go for big name players, so why doesn't he go for a big name manager?!?! The manager's position is the most important at the club(bar chairman ofcourse) so why doesn't he offer some mega wages like he does with the likes of Owen, Emre, Duff etc???

Errr... why would you spend money on Anton when you could get Distin for free? Distin, Sidwell, and Viduka are all players we should be lookin at in the summer, and they're all free. Distin, Taylor, and Onyewu would be a good selection of CB's, with Distin being able to cover LB if needed and Taylor RB. No doubt we'll buy Ashton for £10m, Anton for £5m, and Barton/Reo-Coker for some stupid amount, with all getting paid around the 50k mark.

Easy, Aaron Lennon. He's flash and catches the eye with his pace and control, BUT, his passing is below average along with his crossing and shooting. AND he has a poor footballing brain. What makes him better than Young, Milner, and Bentley? Bugger all in my opinion, yet he's hyped up beyond belief.

Taylor and Gooch everyday for me. Bramble is a liability and shouldn't really have a long term future at the club. Yes he's had a couple of decent games recently but i see no reason to think that this is any different to all the other times that he's had a couple of good games then fucked up. Consistency is massively important for defenders and he hasn't progressed at all in the time he's been here. It's time to move on IMO. Taylor and Gooch could be the long term partnership for us so me may aswell see if they're compatible before we buy him.

That price is fine, AZ are a QUALITY team. The game is guaranteed to be good, AZ are very good going forward but abysmal in defence, i don't expect any clean sheets for either team over the two legs.

Milner can beat his fullback using skill rather than speed, he can also cross - there were a number of crosses today that could've resulted in goals if we had a poacher on the field(Owen, Shearer etc). He has a high work rate, often chasing lost causes, he tracks back well, he has very good stamina, and he never gets injured. AND he's just turned 21 and is still learning the game.

Henry, Rooney, Lampard, and Gerrard get on the poll but Scholes and Essien don't? I vote Drogba,.......................... but it could be CR.

I can't believe there's people condoning that shit! We are not Arsenal/Bolton/Chelsea etc etc, we're not a club known for it's divers, and i'd like to keep it that way. If we were to lose a game, or get knocked out of the cup, to a dive then i would be fucking FUMING!!! So instead of actually bringing local players through ourselves we should sign a bunch of 17/18 year olds to play on our youth team? Aye because it is failing so spectacularly at Arsenal? I would hate to have a "youth system" like Arsenals, their youth system is basically made up of a group of scouts that go around buying 17/18 year old foreign players. And even if it did work, what if we ended up a squad with just 1 english player in it? So much for bringing local talent through.

So instead of actually bringing local players through ourselves we should sign a bunch of 17/18 year olds to play on our youth team?

Lennon is a very "flash" player, and so gets noticed more, especially by the London media. The boy has potential but is very overhyped, he's very fast and has very good ball control, but he is lacking a football brain, is poor at crossing, and struggles with simple passes. I wouldn't swap Milner for him.
