I am waiting until the window is closed, I have little option. I’m cautiously optimistic that we can bring in one significant player before the deadline (but it may be a loan), but if we got 3 I think I’d faint.

I didn’t say things are awful, but we are struggling to make the signings the club wanted at the start of the window. This place is getting well rawky when it comes to anything remotely negative.

I can’t help but wonder how long the monitoring period is before they bid for players.

I don’t think Ross Barkley had a good football brain, he had skills as an individual but didn’t know how to play in a team. If he hadn’t signed a huge contract at Chelsea he might have been able to find his level elsewhere, but it wouldn’t have been at a top half club IMO.
