I’ve always been very opposed to DCL, but if funds are limited, he’s available on a free, and it frees up money for first team positions and possibly a big juicy purple RW, then I can’t really complain.

I just don’t see him playing much and we could do with the money. Burn and Botman are ahead of him at LCB, and Hall has nailed down LB. Minutes are going to be limited and value goes down with the inactivity. Right now Targett and Alex Murphy can probably cover his role in the squad. Also I can’t say I rate him much so far.

I would accept anything over £10m. He’s the sort of player we could find ourselves trying to loan out in a year or 2 and struggling to shift.

Trophies seem to barely raise a smile for fanbases like Man U’s. They’ll be happy for a couple of hours then back to being miserable cunts because they’re not winning everything every year. Most of the time trophies are wasted on the clubs that are allowed to win them.

I could imagine him trailing behind the middle aged mums in a park run and dropping out after 3km. It’s actually quite odd seeing him on the pitch, he doesn’t look like an athlete.
