He did play for Wolves, and fucked up big time and fall out with the club because of his wage demands But i agree with your statment, the thing is they are very well paid in Saudi Arabia, like i said before players like Yasser Al-Qahtani are valued for prices like 6M, and i don't think any europian club will be intrested in paying that much money for a player who never really played in a major league before, Yasser's talents are really good but it will be a gamble for any team who trys to sign him, Mohammed Husain (Bahraini international who made the assist for the first goal vs Korea) had a trial with Leeds, but they turned him down for fitness reasons, Ali-AlHabsi the Oman GK plays for Bolton, Husain Yasser the Egyptian born Qatari International had trials with Manchester United and played a season with Man City (Maybe Dr.Spectrum can help with him) but overall i don't think many clubs are intrested in signing Middle Eastern players at the moment.

Love how people talk about Geremi's set piece taking abillty as if he's Sinsia Mihajlovic Quite possibly the only free kick he had last season for Chelsea he scored. Scored a lot more for Boro aswell iirc. There's noone else in the squad better than him. Perhaps Nobby on corners. WHo would you have then out of interest? Nobby, Luque, and Milner are all decent in set-pieces imo, I am not saying Geremi isn't good at taking set-pieces i am actually saying that people overate his abilltys when it comes to them

I think there is money to spend, buts its about buying the players who are going to move this club a step forward, there is no point of SA doing the same thing past managers (Roeder and Souness) did and buy players just for the sake of pleasing fans just to find out that almost every single one of them was/is a flop.

Turned out he's very overated, had a trade mark dribble that made him famous but other than that he's not good enough to cut it in Europe (well, at least for now) Wouldn't mind Sanchez (Who btw is an FM legened so expect people over here to start talking about him like he's the next Maradona), got the chance to see him a couple of times in the Copa Libertadiores and a few times with Chile, he has loads of trick and his pace is nice but he lacks in strength (very skinny lad from what i saw) so he might have some trouble adapting to life in England.

What Souness had in mind was actually a good thing, he wanted our strike force to be this: Owen Luque Shearer But he was never able to keep all three fit at the same time, so he kept playing 4-4-2 untill he got sacked I think it will be - if used correctly- a good style of play for our team, the classic 4-4-2 dosn't always work espically when facing the likes of Man Utd and Chelsea. As for Nobby, i am actually happy to see him play in the center, always thought he have the technique and mentalty to play in the center of the field rather than on the wing, he's getting older and losing his pace (wich he had little of to start with), so using him in a more center will be the smart thing to do imo.

Why not, would be a good chance to see some of our youngsters/future players in first team action..

6M for Darren Fletcher is alot of money, honestly i think he's worth between 2-3 max.
