I'm quite sure that is Shola's wife.

2014 FIFA World Cup Brasil™ - Europe vs. America

I'm with you. NigeriaShola is the only team I support on any level remaining in the tournament. God bless you, sir. -
If we win tomorrow, it will immediately become my favourite kit, but for now it is still rubbish. The green on it, isn't anywhere in our national flag, tbh. The same with Nike in 2002.

I am going to be actually shaking by match time in 16 hours. My nerves are already in fits, tbh. Too old to care as much as I do. -

He never grabs his arm, this is a still from when Fred is beginning his slow motion dive. Having your arm on top of someone else's arm will never be a penalty. The only contact is his hand lightly on his clavicle. Greece don;'t even attack. They just hold the ball until they lose it and settle back. -

Simple as that really. Well then don't tell me Fred didn't earn that penalty. He got a slight pull on his shoulder and fell, defender didn't even go for the ball. This is a bit different because Fred wasn't pulled at all. Also significantly more incidental contact is generally allowed above the waist and should be. -

If I am driving the basket and you smack my arm, it is a foul. The fact that the ref won't call it unless I yell "ahhh" and flail a hand isn't my fault. -

I do think there should be more incidental allowed (or that it should at least be more consistent), but missing the ball and contacting someone's leg when they are trying to dribble past you is foul, regardless, and this was a penalty. -

Netherlands will win by a long ball to Van Persie at some point. Mexico are expending a lot of energy without creating much of anything, imo. -

This "everything against us' mentality from the players, Tabarez, and the media is purposeful and a psychological tactic. They will play like a wounded animal (except for lack of wounds). -
US Soccer featuring Canada Occasionally I guess.

I don't understand why English people are so angry about people talking about the game in their own dialects, tbh. However it seems your facts are correct whereas my assumptions aren't. However my point of English folk founding clubs all over the world is correct. We did take the game to the world. Don't think anyone is disputing the fact the English made the game as popular across the world as it is today, or that it deserves to host the WC again ahead of the likes of f***ing Russia. Russia and Eastern Europe in general are well deserving of a World Cup, imo. Russia has produced many great players, they have one of the best leagues in the world, and boast a good enough infrastructure (at least in the parts of Western Russia housing people and games). -

I fail to understand the logic behind this statement. Since the previous two are being held in Brazil and Russia then I imagine stupidly long distances between host cities won't be a problem. Also, I've just learned that Fox have US broadcast rights to the World Cup in Russia, not ABC/ESPN. Christ. Tbh, the Russia World Cup is all in Western Russia and Europe. None of it in Siberia or the Eastern coast. Though obviously this is for reasons other than pure distance. -

I think Brazil would dominate this if they had a better striker (In terms of performances in this tournament and in general recently, Fred is one of the worst "main" strikers left), as things are they will win by the odd goal. 2-1. -

South America was very strong and it was especially impressive how easily most of their sides qualified. For CAF, North America, and UEFA the margins were so small that any serious conclusions would be a waste of time. The Asian performance is extremely concerning, though. All of those teams finished last in their group, and with the exception Iran and Australia for one match each, none were competitive. This continent made so much progress in the last three tournaments, that this is embarrassing. Ochoa Aurier - Omeruo - Montazeri -Blind Beckerman - Vidal Neymar - Messi- James Muller -

Every other group of players gets paid on time, but the Nigerians simply ask for what they agreed to (and what every other team promptly receives) from an FA that has been proven to be corrupt on multiple occasions and they are MERCENARIES! Keshi went several months without pay, ffs, while the leaders of the FA become fat rich men. Don't fool yourself. Every single team in the tournament is paying it's players. It is a wild coincidence that the only teams having problems with this agreement are the ones that ALWAYS have problems with this agreement. -

Yes, and you feel like it should have been three or four! Congratulations to Algeria. For a country that has so many quality footballers with its blood flowing through their veins, it is good to see them come to world stage and succeed with vibrant football. -

Russia defend in numbers, but I don't believe they are actually good at defending. Algeria will score. -

At least that is guaranteed to be entertaining. I wouldn't say the same for matches involving these four teams. I will half-heartedly support Les Fennecs, tonight. Just for the sake of solidarity. Is that some West vs North African conflict I sense Honestly, no. I will never support Egypt or Tunisia, but Algeria haven't beaten Nigeria since I was a newborn and have played good football in Brazil. I find them acceptable. -

I said you would like. I'm sort of surprised that it was seen as being a really difficult group. Yeah, I thought it would be Ghana going through, but once it became clear that Ronadlo wasn't 100% fit, this group became Germany+three similar teams fighting for second. -

I don't know which failed more spectacularly at this World Cup out of Ghana and Cote D'Ivoire. Constantly selfish in attack and the second goal is amateur from Dauda. Congratulations, US.
