I hope that at least we don't exchange him for N'Zogbia.. that'd be madness He's not like, Shorey is better than Riise. Riise was a great player in his day but has lost any quality he did have. He still likes to bomb on and unleash ridiculous shots, most of them ending up in Row Z. Shorey however still has the potential to improve and is a very disciplined, solid defender. Does nothing daft, good crosser of the ball, and iirc assisted a good few for Reading in their Premiership seasons. Has he not been pretty poor at Villa though? Hence why he'd be getting linked with us and not being a key part of a CL chasing side (with no other LB of note)... That said, i'd have him as competition. Joe would use him to replace Enrique though...

Lovekrands is shit, we should stay well away. Anyone who watched SPL over the years will tell you the same. Yes, he has pace, but not much else, and was very inconsistent. I would much rather we promoted LuaLua to a more regular place than brought in an injury prone mercenary...

Did you read the article? He reckons he'd have more chance of regular football there. I mean in general. All players seem to have this burning desire to go there, when in actual fact they're a very unstable club with an oversized, unbalanced squad. The amount of players who have struggled there after being good before their transfer is unreal - Bentley, Boateng, Darren Bent, Pavulychenko, Gomes, Bale. A whole bucket of talent there, some already established international players, whose careers are going to s*** at White Hart Lane. I would go as far to say that Spurs are almost as unstable as we are. Pavlychenko has scored 10 goals in 20 games. Wouldnt exactly call that struggling. Bale is in bad form but he was excellent last season and Gomes has been very impressive the last couple of months. I didn't know it was exactly 1 in 2 but I had a feeling. It's something people haven't really noticed. Quietly, he's actually starting to settle into the style of the English Premiership. It may not be reflected by a strong set of results of the team, but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets another 10 between now and the end of the season. Which wouldn't be half bad. Aye, he's banging them in in the Carling cup, not so much in the league. He's struggling if you consider the price tag attached to him...
