Tiago not Thiago Motta. Was just about to say that. If you're going to go on a bullshit session, at least know who you're lying about. Have the mainstream press taught us nothing...

Exactly and he was a regular at the end of the season - it's not like those appearances were all at the beginning of the seasons and he was then dropped. He was away at the ACN too...

How many players you got so far this window now and how much spent? sidwell, friedel, gusman, cuellar and young? Shorey too...

Boro have made a confirmed bid for Hoyte according to SSN...

It just proves how much this 'respect' thing is just a load of bullshit. Still no consistency...

Obviously, Ronaldo now is a fat mess with glass legs, but that proves nothing. Before he got injured did you not see how well he was playing for AC Milan? Tbh, not really. Don't see too much Serie A. My point is, Ronaldo in his prime was a hell of a lot better than Scholes ever was, and it's not right comparing a player on the decline to another in his prime...

Don't agree myself. He's a great player, yes, but he's not at the same level as Zidane, Figo, Ronaldo etc. Dirty fucker too, 'never learned to tackle'...

It's never nice to see Gary Neville...

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11678_3955396,00.html Go and get him Kev Larsson is quality, would make a great signing for central midfield IMO. And has the versatility needed to be a good squad player...

Maybe Everton fans just love headless chickens who like to foul???

Ah but we can't believe everything we read in the press eh? Obviously MA has mad it clear he wants to sell and will do so at the first available opportunity...

In an ideal world we'd have 2 players for every position, but at this stage that's highly unlikely. I'd be happy enough if we got in an Arbeloa type player who can adequately cover anywhere across the back 4, or even just both fullback positions.

Jesus wept lad, can you not just answer a question. Nobody is debating the fact that he gave his opinion. The fact is, he gave his opinion as the chairman of an independent fans association. What does that involve, and how can we find out more about said association. Since you claimed to know what he does and doesn't do...

I agree. But also not a £10m defender.

What's worse is that there are enough mongs out there who will treat this shit as gospel...

Does have a nice solid look to it...

Regardless of whether I would or wouldn't take him ( I would, in a heartbeat btw ), just because Liverpool bought Keane, doesn't mean he'd be available. He's very much a fans favourite at Anfield because of his gutsy performances and hence the As for who we could get in, I think we need to look outside of England. As evidenced by the Bentley deal (among others) prices are drastically inflated within the Premier league. You've got to think of players at other clubs who would a) be available, and b) be reasonable priced. There are a couple of good players in the championship who could be available, but they'd be squad players at best. i.e. Seb Larsson, Kevin Doyle, Giles Barnes, etc. Looking outside England, and for the figures being bandied about, I'd take Zigic for £8m, as he could provide a useful foil for Owen/Martins. Obviously, there are irons in the fire at the minute, and I'm hopeful we can get in enough to flesh out the squad with quality...
