Rubbish. The most impressive part of his game on Monday was getting through tight gaps/situations and being able to keep the ball/create something.
-
He's going to be inconsistent for the sheer fact he's barely played competitive football for the best part of 2 years. He should still play on Monday though and I have a feeling he will.
-
I'd play him primarily on the left against Fulham but encourage a fluid front 3. He's the best mover in the team and was played in nicely a couple of times last night running in from wide, I think he might have buried one of those chances if they'd been on his right foot.

He's pure class, lovely footballer.

I think he's great. Lovely little player. -
Much better, a bit of creativity in the formation worked a treat. Good work and I understand taking the foot off the pedal in the second, no need to risk injuries.

We need Marveaux in for this, someone with something a bit different and I'd like to see Amalfitano get a chance too, for no real reason other than I think he looks a good, technical footballer who can bring some intelligence in the final third. Going off Pardew's pre-match comments, it seems he's finally axed The Long Willy! -
I know a Lazio fan, nice guy but an absolute mentalist. Going off some of his stories, he sounds like one of the more normal ones, who draws a line at chucking bricks about while at matches.
-
its not flawed, with everyone fit our team is way better than a lot of the teams that are sitting above us right now. When was the last time football was decided on paper..... It's a good policy but certainly not perfect. An adaptable and slightly creative manager is what you need to get the best out of it though.
-
As a right back. But like a right back more akin to a third centre back, who rarely moves forward? Could he have handled TWO full backs that like pushing on!?
-
He's simply not the biggest problem right now, he's supplied good players but our manager is not adapting and is making mistakes every week. He should get stick for the summer, we could have done with at least another 2 in, but who's to say they'd have even been used properly? How exactly would Pards have played Debuchy for example?
-
I hope he relays this to the players, it seems the opposite so far. He who dares, wins!
-
Just been griefed by George Alagiah It does sound stupid but you do it, we'll I never did the accent but spoke far slower when in in France. Unlike the French knobs, who spoke full pace even when I asked them to repeat stuff slower.
-
I thought he was poor defensively yesterday, Puncheon gave him a hard time. Always gives his all though and is looking more threatening at the other end!
-
Is it any surprise the team looks completely devoid of confidence? The way Pards plays, screams of a lack of faith in his team's ability and his recently negative soundbites will be making the situation worse. Yesterday, it looked like all of their imagination and drive had been drained out of them.

Stoke City vs. Newcastle United - 28/11/12 @ 7.45pm (No TV)

Thing is, on paper that's a very decent team. No reason why it shouldn't pick up regular results in the PL. Agree that we need some tidier footballers who can play us out of pressure situations. That team would at least give bottom half opposition some problems, if they were played to their strengths. Useless having tidy footballers if you're going to play like Stoke. The ironic thing is, we can play the direct game but we're so dependant on it now, it's utterly predictable. We really, really need to mix it up and get people moving about a bit. -

Krul Simpson Willo Colo Santon Anita Tiote Marveaux Amalfitano Cisse Ba Is what I'd like to see, just freshen it up with something different using better, calmer footballers (Amalfitano and Marveaux over Fergie and Sammy). -
Strikes me as a massive, whingey c***. Really starting to dislike him, I don't get the feeling that his attitude is in line with the rest of the players', he only seems to care about himself. I wouldn't be surprised if he was the most divisive member of the squad, which could be quite useful in challenging the manager's choices if he wasn't so self-absorbed.
-
Anyone trying to blame a lack of investment for our current form This team, and squad, should be going for top 10 at least and should be giving the majority of opposition problems. Vurnon Anita, a defensive midfielder, provided our biggest attacking threat today and I wouldn't be surprised if it was completely against what he'd been told to do. Pardew does NOT believe in these players and is too scared to take any risks from the off.

Good point on Ba, Beren. He's been pissing me off recently, thinks he has the on-ball ability of Ben Arfa, when in actual fact his play is generally poor. He was unbelievably selfish today and I think he needs to be taken down a peg or two. No wonder he might have an inflated ego mind, it's not as if our coach didn't completely pander to him as soon as he threw a strop.
