Dropout obviously loves a highlights player. He'll crucify Cisse's link-up play and no doubt bang on about Benteke being superior, and yet... Benteke's average pass accuracy this season 64.8%, Cisse's 73.9%. Since Villa, Cisse's PA has risen to 76.2% from an average of 23.1 passes per game. Compare that to some different strikers: RVP - 80.2% (from 26.8 per game). Giroud - 60.4% (20 PG) Michu - 77.7% (33 PG) Comparing him to some 'poachers' - Defoe only makes 14 passes per game on average, with 85% finding their man, Bent is 67.8% from 12 Not bad for a poacher that apparently can't get involved and contributes nothing to our play, doesn't seem too far off these 'real' footballers.

I'm a bit lost as to what happened after Debuchy went off, we were looking very good up until that point and suddenly it all changed. I don't know if that was down to Pardew or momentum changing but I'm leaning towards the former, I just don't see how they could have found an extra gear with our full back going off. As for the rest of the match, I can't complain too much about AP, only the Gouffran switch annoyed me. Thursday's tough game has been forgotten, the effect of which was doubled as 2 first half subs meant we really needed fresh legs in the second but couldn't, Sissoko in particular seemed to really be struggling. And then there's the mental aspect of that tackle too. I thought we put in a good shift in the second half, created some opportunities and could have had more but for some poor decision-making.

Such a gutting result, not felt so strongly about a match for a long time. I found it strange how quickly we dipped after Debuchy went off, did we tinker with the shape when Haidara came on or something? I can't imagine Wigan took too much confidence from a full back going off. We had been all over them up until that point and then they started pinging passes about, we'd not let them get any rhythm before then.

I really can't see us getting 'battered' here to be honest, even if they were in some good form. I'd fancy us to get something with our counter attack style, but I said that about today... -
The replay from behind the goal showed it wasn't going in, but it still should have been a corner. Which as we know means DANGER. I thought it looked like it was heading into the corner? There was a lot of spin on the ball. Saying that, I've not seen a 'straight on' replay since this afternoon, when I was too angry to comprehend anything. Our corners were actually alright today

Mixed bag, missed a brilliant chance, brainless shot when we had 4 in the box. He did set up a goal however, I thought some of his one-touch stuff was good and he made 2 good opportunities with some great movement, one of which resulted in a good save.

I really don't think we played too badly, we created some good chances in that second half and were the better team in that period. We also started very well. We've been robbed of a result, absolutely shafted, it wasn't a good performance but look at who we had on at the end and how we were playing. We've just had a tough game on Thursday, you could tell we needed fresh legs but we'd been done by injuries, it's one of the pitfalls of the competition. My anger is not at all directed towards the staff today.

Decent outlet. He can be frustrating mind, he goes on some great runs but doesn't try them enough. He's too passive at times.

Looked very leggy today.

Some of the organisation today was terrible, but we were worth a result. The injuries screwed up our options for freshening up, one of the downsides of Europe.

One of the worst tackles I've ever seen, absolutely fucking disgraceful. Good luck Massadio.

That team's more than good enough to get a result here.
