  1. I think our (correct) gameplan restricted him more than anything tbh, I have a feeling he had more instructions than usual yesterday to keep shape out wide and not try anything too daring so we wouldn't have been caught on the break. Just not really the right circumstances for him to shine, although he still produced some moments of quality.
  2. As if people would advocate letting go of a good footballer with a good attitude.

"Is it normal practice too haul off 'great' players while you're 0-1 down and desperate for a goal?" Tevez and Nasri both also hauled off today then. Oh look it's Wireside again, talking shit that he doesn't have a clue about. Fucking cunt. Funny cause Ben Arfa shut his mouth longer than Sessegnon did for us.
  4. Wireside claiming he was hauled off today. That bloke's a fucking dickhead.

    John Carver

I don't think i'd want the North-East's people to look like John Carver tbh.
  6. Hope we go there with 4-3-3 and do our thing. They're a good side but I think we have equally dangerous and better players overall, going to be a tough game.
  7. I don't think his attacking game was really suited to the plan today really. I get the feeling that Pards wanted us to be cautious in possession, wary of their threats and that's not really his thing, he barely roamed which is a big part of his game imo. His last 2 games have had to be very disciplined, hopefully he gets more freedom at Everton and we go 4-3-3.
  8. Looked a bit 'timid' at times today, perhaps a little reluctant with our gameplan. Still, had 2 good chances and some nice passes, not really the match for him to shine though.
  9. Harsh as f***. You realise we are playing the champions elect who have a 0.5 billion squad at their disposal yes? There's a point that we have been too safe, we've really given other massive teams a go during the season. I think the approach has generally been right today but just a little too conservative. Contain them until late in the game where they would need to commit men forward and try and hit them on the break seems like a very sensible game plan to me. I know, hence why i said the plan was generally right but we tried to go super direct at the end with lumping crosses in, i think the last 2 months have shown we're better when we go for it in different ways. Still, what a fantastic season from the players, great effort.

  11. Really not sure what he's trying to achieve with them 3 up top, got a feeling this may be a very direct last 20 minutes.
